I dislike change, and I'm an old fuddy duddy who doesn't want to learn new platfroms, lol. Tumblr, how do you even work? I mostly understand Dreamwidth, but apparently I need to build my reading list for the few friends who came here from LJ and actually post. I think I have like 3 on my reading page. I'm trying to keep up with everyone on Twitter and Facebook but that's hit-or-miss.

I started a new course of meds back in March, and have been seeing a LCSW for counseling on the regular, both of which seem to be helping. Other than worrying about copays, obviously. I'm racking up quite the bill for copays for the psychiatrist. My therapy copays are only $12.48 a visit though, and I get assistance for my prescriptions. I'm constantly worried about losing that assistance though. Ronnie getting a car and a job works against us.

Ronnie starts his junior year of high school next week, and Davey will be a sophomore. (Kelly Marie would be starting college; I'm old.) Ronnie has been working all summer at the car dealership where my brother works. He's in the wash bay washing cars, but hopefully that helps him after he gets his auto service certifications and is ready to work in the shop. He's taking auto service at school this year and also a full year welding class - he did a half-year intro to welding class last year and really enjoyed it. Davey is focused on wrestling conditioning and his youtube channel. And considering going to Bridgewater to be a Pastor or a Music Director. He taught a class at VBS this summer and then had some kind of experience at church camp (he called it a breakdown; I asked if he meant breakthrough and he said it was kinda both). Duke and Duchess turned 6 human years old yesterday. Margrave is about 15 months which is apparently the equivalent of being a teenager, so she goes from being a crazy wild thing to having an attitude. Normal cat behavior. All my other kids are growing up on me. I don't know who told them they could do that. (Larkin says that God told her she could grow up, and that if I want a baby I should go adopt one.)

I've been watching a lot of TV and Netflix. I've only read a dozen or so books this summer, though I have read plenty of novel-length fanfic.

So there's your Tuesday Tabby Update. Now I have to go deal with the potty-training toddler. Love you all! <3

I totally almost just texted [livejournal.com profile] wendy to ask what she wanted for lunch, meaning to text my sister and ask what she wanted from Wendy's for lunch. Oh, me.

I'm having dizzy spells this morning, which is boo because we're supposed to go meet my work family for bowling and dinner.

Boys lost their game this morning 22 to 18, but they were actually awesome because we have two players out with the flu and one who can't play on Saturdays for religious reasons, so we had the same five players on the court the entire game and one of them wrecked on his bike earlier this week and was injured bad enough to miss school so he was moving super slow. Ronnie and Davey are friends with almost every player on the other team, so it was kinda funny to watch them goofing off with one another. We have one more game in the actual season, then playoffs. We're currently ranked 6th out of the 13 teams in our age division.

Also, we have team pictures tomorrow at 3, which is kinda boo because green flag for the Daytona 500 is at 1pm. We're grilling out at my brother's for the race.

I guess I better go put real people clothes on, because I wore my pajamas to the basketball game, lol.

+ I did not get to participate in the panic presale madness last night because I am currently broke, which is boo.

+ I AM SO EXCITED FOR ANYONE GOING TO SEE PANIC TONIGHT! ([livejournal.com profile] danacias and [livejournal.com profile] harriet_vane, I'm looking at the two of you!)

+ Amy and I decided my headache-nausea-tiredness is sympathy morning sickness, since it started about the time she found out she was pregnant and she hasn't had any.

+ I'm gonna drive down to see Amy Friday. We're gonna have dinner (so she can bitch about her hubby and I can bitch about uhg) and go to a movie or go shopping or something. And I have to drive back that same night. 10 hour round-trip for a dinner date with the bestie? I guess she's worth it. ;)

+ The boys lost their game last night, 24 to 8. But they seriously couldn't get it together - they were having such a hard time making good passes, idek. And I think that the actual regulation height goal is a different height then the goal in our driveway, which was throwing Davey off. But we're halfway through our season now, so yay? Next month starts karate meets plus practice for soccer (Davey) and baseball (Ronnie). They keep me so busy!

+ I'm hoping February realizes it's 2011 and that it's supposed to be a better year than 2010.

+ Gathering donations for our RFL silent auction has been easier than I expected already! I'm excited! And I love that I know such good people that they're willing to donate these things.

+ Speaking of RFL, be sure to check out this post I made yesterday. Please?

+ Everyone being affected by this crazy winter weathery stuff going on, please be careful and stay warm!

+ Jay went to Taco Bell on his lunch break yesterday and passed out in the bathroom and ended up having to be taken by ambulance to the ER. He's okay, and they're letting him come home this morning, but it's still scary. This is the 3rd time something like this has happened (the other two. times happened while he was at work) and the other incidents were ruled as stress-related. He has a 5 month old baby at home, works full time, goes to school full time, and is putting in hours student teaching. I can see where stress may be an issue there! I know money is a big issue for them, and it makes me wanna consider the home daycare idea even more. Pam and I could totally do that, if I can talk mom into giving her approval.
why_me_why_not: (Default)
Why won't someone write me GK fic where the boys get tasked with the mission of meeting up with a group of military scientists and escorting them home, only to end up having to battle whatever creatures the scientists have been doing genetic experiments on?

Yes I am spending my Saturday watching SyFy movies again; why would you ask?

The boys played an awesome game this morning; our team won 12 to 4. The hard part was that we were playing against one of the other North Salem teams, so half the opposing team played with our team last year for basketball and/or soccer. There was a lot more rough play, since these guys are all friends, and our littlest player fouled out. And three members of the opposing team got injured. Still, both teams played well and it was a good game and all the parents (several of the parents are teachers) were cheering for both teams, so it was good.

We're going to Kabuki tonight to celebrate Mom's birthday (which was yesterday) and I'm debating whether or not to go into work tomorrow.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

why_me_why_not: (heart in hands)
omg, it seriously looks like the valentine faerie puked all over our living room. Or maybe exploded.

But the boys had such a good time putting together the treat bags and making valentines, and Davey told me that we have to make some more next weekend because "what about Jim's friends at the VA?", and I have one more box to seal up before I go to bed and then I just have to make it to the post office before they close tomorrow. And yay for flat rate boxes, because I know how much I'm gonna be spending before I get there.

I have more packages to send than I originally intended, but I'm gonna blame that on my brother. We were talking about SA while we were shopping (b/c some of the stuff I was buying was obvsly not for my own kids) and one of the requests that had come up this week was a request from a med unit for individually wrapped quick-and-easy type things that they can carry with them to hand out - I can't log in to the forum from the laptop - which I didn't give back yet - because I can't remember my passwords (lol, fail) but the request basically said that some of the wounded that this unit has evacuated recently haven't eaten in days and they feel bad because they don't have anything on hand to give them. So the request is for things like cereal bars and snack crackers and stuff like that, which is totally doable (especially when I'm shopping at Sam's, lol), and my brother and one of the guys from the volunteer ff/emt squad decided they wanted to buy extra for me to send with my packages, so I ended up with three packages instead of one. But I'm not going to complain.

And then I'm going to be broke again, lol. *sigh* But the car payment and daycare is already paid, so there is that.

Also, super dnw to work on Sunday. I'm trying not to think about it, but ugh. Do. Not. Want.
why_me_why_not: (Default)
Wow, it's already 2 days into the new year and I'm already behind! Lol. I started this on NYE? It's my 2010 in review. I'm gonna try to make another post about what I'm looking forward to / anticipating / hoping for in 2011, but I have to work 12 hrs tomorrow (later today, w/e) so I need to go to sleep now. *smooches*

* Mom turned 50 and we planned a big surprise party for her. We had her convinced that everyone forgot her birthday, but we had relatives coming in from out of town and all this stuff - then we got a foot of snow and everything was ruined.

* Kidnapped Amy and went to Atlantic City for a weekend. It was her birthday weekend & Valentine's Day & Cliff was at boot camp, so we met up with [livejournal.com profile] thebunnyknows and went to see The Used and Drive A (and Atreyu). Amy kinda got a crash course in fandom that weekend, lol. At the concert, we met up with [livejournal.com profile] valerie_z and one of her friends and [livejournal.com profile] sinsense. After, me and Amy and [livejournal.com profile] thebunnyknows were gonna hang around and get Cliff a hoodie autographed, and some drunk chick gave [livejournal.com profile] sinsense her meet-the-band card, so she stayed with us. And the only thing she had with her to be autographed was a draft of her thesis, which led to an interesting discussion about hemaphroditism (between her and Quinn, who, despite all evidence to the contrary, can actually string words together to make sentences) and to Bert saying "I'd love to wake up one day with a vagina; I'd probably have to take a few days off tour." (Amy says "that happens to me every day!) Also, they were super nice about giving Amy messages to pass along to Cliff (generic "tell him thanks for serving our country"-type messages, but still!). The next day we found a Zoltar machine on the boardwalk, but no one transformed into a 12-year-old. Maybe because we are all already 12 at heart?

* As another show on that same tour, I took Davey to see The Used in Charlotte. He had his shoes autographed, had a discussion with Jepha about Perry the Platapus, and is now buddies forever with Bert McCracken. Also, the band autographed a onesie for Illiana and Quinn drew a little cloud picture on it.

MARCH 2010

* ILLIANA WAS BORN! March 25. Harley was texting me (and others) up til like 7am from the hospital, and I figured I had time to drop the boys off at school and get to the hospital before the baby was born, but I got a call just around 730 saying the baby was here. She is quite possibly my favorite thing about 2010.

APRIL 2010

* I sold my van to the farm. Really, she went to a good home with some Amish family that runs some orchards in Franklin County, but I still cried because I love my van!

* accidentally captained a March of Dimes team at work and raised $5700

MAY 2010

* The official Team Gregory picnic, which was proof that we were the best team in the call center and everyone else was jealous.

* Celebration with my friends and family for my 30th birthday and my brother's 28th birthday.

* Cliff got his assignment and Amy left me, lol. They're stationed in Norfolk, which is kinda good because they're only 5 hrs away, but for Amy is also kinda bad because it means her in-laws visit a lot.

JUNE 2010

* Harley was driving me to the airport and we were in an accident. I had my bag in the floorboard and my feet on top of it, tying my shoes and talking shit with Johnathan, and the next thing I know we're under a Suburban and Harley's climbing over me to get to the baby. I ended up with a concussion and knocking out one of my front teeth, and freaking the fuck out, but I still insisted on going to the airport. I was spending the weekend of my 30th birthday with my friends, dammit! I got [livejournal.com profile] wendy and [livejournal.com profile] phaballa for my actual birthday (and [livejournal.com profile] phaballa's peanut butter pie!), and we saw Shrek Forever After, and I got puppy!snuggles from Max & Val. The next day I got to spend time with [livejournal.com profile] snarkyrainbow and talked her into staying to see Cobra with me. As with most shows, we were amused by the fashion disasters and by the parents' reactions to some of the songs. I Fight Dragons was surprisingly entertaining, and Travie and Cobra were unsurprisingly awesome. I can't stand 3oh!3 and was really wtf'ed by the huge stuffed wolves with green laser eyes that were onstage during their set. Met up with [livejournal.com profile] irisgirl12000 and went home with her to Houston (and my favorite guest bedroom, lol). Next day went to Hard Rock for lunch and met up with some of the other TX girls ([livejournal.com profile] shutyourface! [livejournal.com profile] eckerlilas! And other girls I know but whose LJ names I can't remember!) for more Travie and Cobra. We didn't have to suffer through 3oh!3 this time, but there were extra acts in between sets that I really wasn't feeling. (I had a concussion! And by this time I had two black eyes! I wanted to put my head down on the barrier and sleep until there was Gabe in front of me!) Oh, and we ended up with Gabe!crotch in our faces, lol. One of the previous concerts we were at together, it was Pete!crotch. Oh, bandboys. Sunday, I laid on [livejournal.com profile] irisgirl12000's couch and cuddled with Dante (my favorite of [livejournal.com profile] irisgirl12000's two kitties) and watched the first couple episodes of Generation Kill and wished I didn't have to go to the airport.

* Had to get a CT scan done to make sure I didn't have a skull fracture or internal bleeding or whatnot. (Now, I actually have experience with concussions and head injuries because Ronnie has had 4 concussions and is also a klutz, so I know it's generally a good sign if you do have a knot after a blow to the head.) The drs seemed to think I wasn't any more brain damaged than I had been to begin with. (Although you can still feel the indentation in my forehead where I hit the edge of my shoe.)

* hit up [livejournal.com profile] wordsalone for download links for Generation Kill so I could get sucked into that fandom, lol

* participated in Relay for Life on a family team

JULY 2010

* got a new-to-me car! A 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander which I totally love! :)

* spent a couple weekends at the lake and took the boys cliff diving for the first time

* spent a long weekend camping at Steel Bridge with the family - my brother, 4 women, and 9 kids. Haha, he says he's never doing that again. But we had a fucking blast.

* succumbed to depression, due to the effects of the concussion on my crazy meds / my bipolar and also after effects of the concussion itself. Missed half a month of work feeling suicidal and stupid.

* went to Norfolk to spend some time with Amy and Cliff, made friends with another Navy wife named Sarah who is pretty awesome, and went to Warped Tour

* spent EVERY weekend at the lake and seriously contemplated buying a camper at the marina when it came up for sale

* Mom took the kids to the beach for a week, so I got dwnload links for True Blood (which is the ultimate trainwreck of a show) and watched all the episodes there were at that time

* got to hang out with Jessie and Holly, who I miss tremendously, when we went to see my friend Anthony in a drag show

* had a boat party for Team Gregory that was a huge success and solidified our bond right before we all got split up

* Neville was born on August 25th! Pam had a lot of complications and scared me sooooo badly, but it all worked out.

* Andrew-at-work, whose Mom had been sick with cancer for a while, told us his mom passed away - but then we found out that everything he had said was a fucking lie and his mom was alive and well and happily on her honeymoon.

* Back to feeling depressed and suicidal. Had a major breakdown at work because I was going to be moved to a Collections team, but Robbie intervened and got me moved to Correspondence instead

* had our annual end-of-summer/Kelly Marie's birthday picnic, which turned out better than expected

* Taylor won his first race of the season, lol

* missed out on seeing Drive A in Norfolk with Amy & Cliff because I didn't trust myself to make the 5 hour drive alone

* walked in the JDRF walk for possibly the last time - Chrissy goes off to college next year so I don't think we'll have a team next year

* the boys participated in the Marine Mud Run to help raise money for Toys for Tots

* had a blast at Heritage Day at Camp Bethel

* finally figured out the right combo of meds to feel stable again (just couldn't necessarily afford to pay for them for a while)

* had a karaoke dance party at my brother's house with all the kids for Halloween

* Walked in the American Heart Walk with a team from work

* walked in the Veterans' Day Parade with a group from the Soldiers' Angels Organization

* went to see Billy Currington and Carrie Underwood in concert

* got pulled over for speeding and found out the DMV never processed my medical review for the year so my license was technically suspended

* helped my cousin move into her new Habitat House

* moved into my grandparents' old house

* took the kids ice skating for the first time - Davey literally skated circles around me and Ronnie

* the boys got promoted to the Black Belt Club at AFK

* went Black Friday shopping with my brothers on Thanksgiving night and saw a bunch of people I hadn't seen in forever

* got my license back

* Ronnie turned TEN

* got myself in trouble at work for standing up for my team

* worked a ridiculous amount of overtime

* lots of firsts for Christmas - first one in the new house, first Christmas for Illy and Neville

* Ronnie and Davey earned their purple belts at karate

My blackberry has been dead since Friday night, so if you think I'm ignoring you, I'm not. I'm just cut off from the world! :(

This means you miss out on hearing about conversations like this:

Davey: "I need a pocket knife for Christmas."

Me: "Why?"

Davey: "Uncle Tim taught me how to hotwire a car, but I need a knife. Or a screwdriver, but a knife would be easier to carry around."

Me: "Why would you need to hotwire a car?"

Davey: "In case of a zombie apolcalypse, mom, duh!"

Me: "..." *thinks about it* "Your feet won't reach the pedals."

I mean, how do you argue with that kind of logic from a 9yo??

I should hopefully have a new phone by Tues or Wed. <3

Headache. :( Went to bed early last night (like super super early) because of a headache but it never went away.

School was closed again today, due to icy road conditions, snow drifts, and high winds. Probably a good thing, b/c the road to my work was patches of ice (there was as stretch that's just a solid sheet of ice, supersuper scary going across it & trying not to hit the gas or the brake, and the winds are blowing the van the whole time) and since I work right by the airport, the snow was blowing off the airport fields causing white-out conditions. When we left work, both directions of Thirlane had traffic backed up and the road in front of the airport was closed. A couple carlengths behind me on the interstate, someone tried to merge over into the exit lane and I guess a wind caught him just right (or just wrong) and he went tail-first into a ditch. Ugh, cold and ice and wind, I'm so over it! (also, there was seriously a solid sheet of ice around my van. We had to break it to get the doors open.)

I need to run to the bank and make a deposit but I'm really not trying to go back out here in this shit.

Here, have a picture of Davey and his bedhead, first thing this morning!

Apparently it's [livejournal.com profile] fiddleyoumust's birthday? HAPPY BIRTHDAY! <3

My kid is so sweet sometimes, yall. They were doing a thing at the school where they were collecting the leftover/extra halloween candy to include in treat bags for the troops, and Mom said she split up the community candy to send to school with the boys, and Davey dumped his ENTIRE HALLOWEEN STASH into his bag to donate. I mean, he hadn't touched it at all since Halloween so obviously he wasn't eating it, but still. So sweet.

I'm back home, obviously. And sooooo tired today. I'm not sure why. When I got to work this morning, I was told I would get pulled off the phone and trained for off-phone work and that I'd be doing off-phone work all week (YAY!) but I didn't actually get pulled for training until after 2, and then my macros wouldn't work so I couldn't do the off phone work anyway. (but we are super super slow this week b/c most of our calls are being routed to one of the other centers, so I have time between calls which means I'm texting people under my desk all sneaky-like and have my porn writing notebook open beside me.) But I did get to spend the last hour of the day counting food for the food drive competition at work. My team is currently in second place, and we didn't cheat by buying the big packs of ramen noodles or AN ENTIRE BOX OF KOOLAID PACKETS, wtf. And we have until Friday, so that's a plus.

Um, quick recap of the rest of my weekend: Saturday was spent at [livejournal.com profile] eckerlilas's house with [livejournal.com profile] irisgirl12000, [livejournal.com profile] snarkyrainbow, [livejournal.com profile] shutyourface, [livejournal.com profile] vic_ramsey, and [livejournal.com profile] kylieq. We watched the Ten Commandments Musical with Adam Lambert. I have to say, my life will never be the same. Sunday was a lazy kinda day. Got up and had pancakes with [livejournal.com profile] irisgirl12000 and her hubby and [livejournal.com profile] snarkyrainbow before [livejournal.com profile] snarkyrainbow had to leave to drive home, then me and [livejournal.com profile] irisgirl12000 watched a ridiculously horrible movie on SyFy that was pretty epically awful and neverending, then watched Supernatural. And went for lunch. Then I had to go home. :( I did succeed in avoiding to have a conversation with ANYONE at the airports and on my flights, so I totally count that as a win.

I have a crapload of school papers to review and sign, and I swear the kids got half a dozen birthday party invites in the mail while I was gone. Kids are so damn expensive!

I had something else to say, but apparently it was either a lie or else unimportant, because I forgot it.

Here, have some music: Drive A - Loss of Desire
why_me_why_not: (kansas boys)
The new job is... idk. It's definitely more mentally challenging, which is awesome. They're paying for us to take a licensing class so we can get a license to sell health insurance, even though we're in customer service and not sales. But if we pass the test and get licensed, we get an extra dollar an hour. And half this stuff I already know b/c I learned it in my classes when I was getting my CPC. But it means I'm busy during the day, which means less time for ficcage and stuffs. Still finding time to drive [livejournal.com profile] irisgirl12000 and [livejournal.com profile] shutyourface crazy with my ramblings though. :P One day they just might disown me. As long as it's after the weekend in Houston in November, lol.

Oh, but my paycheck got fucked up b/c of the holiday, so instead of getting paid today, it'll be Friday before I get my check. BOOOO! I need that money for daycare and shit!

Leverage is awesome. :)

The boys had a great first day of school yesterday. They like their teachers and they think they're gonna like their new afterschool care. I think I'm gonna like their new afterschool care, lol, b/c it's at American Freestyle Karate, and they've actually got a routine for the kids, which Ronnie totally needs, and they have homework time (which is reading time for the kids who don't have homework) and they have karate lessons built into their afternoons and there are actual adults there instead of teenagers like at their old daycare and the adults expect them to LISTEN and show respect and it's kinda awesome. They also have a dog, and a Wii, lol. Whatever, the kids are happy.

Tomorrow night is Davey's first gymnastics class. He's superexcited about it, b/c my kid is a dork. *g* Friday, we're supposed to go to dinner with my dad. He's so ridiculous. I fussed at him last time he went out of town for not telling me he was going, so this time he calls me every morning when he makes his beer run -- he's at my aunt's house, which is in the middle of nowhere. there's no cell service and they have to make a beer run to West Virginia every morning, to a convenience store that's like 45 minutes away from the house -- and he leaves me a message. Saturday is Olde Salem Days (dude, I'm totally planning on getting some Christmas shopping out of the way, lol. Handmade gifts are the best, right?) and then Harley's birthday dinner at the Homeplace (YUM! I've seriously been dreaming about the food for weeks now) and then PWTs. Sunday I may get caught up on LJ? lol.

Oh, Friday is Kelly Marie's birthday. I found a bunch of pictures, so I'll spam yall on Friday, k? I keep forgetting that I'd tell [livejournal.com profile] citikitti about her.

What else, what else...

NEW SUPERNATURAL TOMORROW! I've avoided all S5 spoilers, but then Harley read the TV Guide Listings blurb and it said something I was not aware of so I'm kinda sad before the season's even started. But still. DEAN AND SAM!! <333

Also, I have an urge to go watch like the entire series of Jericho this weekend. LOVE THEM! I blame [livejournal.com profile] harriet_vane and the other teachers on my flist/twitter, b/c it made me think of Emily being pissed off that the new government rewrote the history text books and filled them with lies.

idk. I have a bunch of tabs open, like always, but I'm pretty sure a number of them are Kevin Jonas/Mike Carden fics. WTFH??? I blame [livejournal.com profile] skoosiepants. I don't even LIKE either of them! Carden creeps me the fuck out! Also, multiple entries from [livejournal.com profile] rowanmikaio, b/c I like reading about his adventures, lol, but I don't have the attention span right now. Also, pictures of Brendon. Go figure. And a Mark Hoppus picspam? Haha.

ANYWAY. I'm gonna go see what fic still exists in my gmail and try to put it together in a word file, since gmail is losing threads. I LOVE YALL! *mwah*

I need some advice from the mommies/teachers on my list. Or, well, from everyone, but they might have more insight.

Davey has had a habit of chewing on his clothes for a while. I figured he'd grow out of it, since I remember my brother Tim and Ronnie both going through a phase of chewing/sucking on the collars of their shirts but they both stopped. Davey, on the other hand, is getting worse. He's biting holes in his shirt (seriously, I bought him a Perry the Platypus shirt on Thursday, he wore it on Friday, and he came home with holes in the front of it because he had bitten holes in it) and biting/sucking on his arm. He's never been a thumbsucker or one who puts his fingers in his mouth.

I'm not sure what to do with him. I've thought about getting him a chewy necklace or a chewy bracelet, but I don't remember where to get them. (When I lived with Melanie, one of our daycare kids had a problem with chewing on his shirt and fidgeting and we made him a chewy out of like string and aquarium tubing and he was a totally different kid after that.) Any suggestions??

Best text I got yesterday: You are dangerously close to invoking plot in our selfindulgent bandom world!

haha. My friends are the best friends.

Took the boys to see HBP last night. I think that, like with OotP, I like the movie pretty well from a movie standpoint the first time I watch it, but after I see it more than once, I start picking out things I'm not happy with. do I need to cut for spoilers when we've all read the book? )

The other day, me and [livejournal.com profile] casualyobsessed and [livejournal.com profile] fangs_up1 were hanging out (I think this was the day they were making their movie preview b/c they're silly and summer vacation makes them bored) and we were listening to The Used's Blood on my Hands and I said "some things can't be tweeted"> (the actual line is "some things can't be treated") and now I keep saying it. *fail*

Took the kids to see Looney Toons this morning at one of the local (small) theaters; my cousin Scott was there with his kids and his girlfriend. Free refills on popcorn = the kids went through FIVE BAGS of popcorn in the one hour show. I'm getting ready to head to my cousin Amy's for a birthday party and will probably get stuck over there all afternoon. Which means I'm gonna be txtng the heck out of a few of you, haha.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!! <333

Davey just said he can't go to sleep b/c he misses Ronnie. Ronnie's only been gone for like... idk, 8 hours? Maybe a little longer? And the two of them have been fighting nonstop for like the last two weeks, you'd think they'd like a little time apart. Whatever.

Hung out at Pam's for a while yesterday (yall, my nephew Storm is such a fucking brat, idek. I really can't stand it.) and came home and took a 5 hour nap, lol. Woke up with a headache that was more annoying than painful, read [livejournal.com profile] snarkyrainbow's bbb fic, and let [livejournal.com profile] reallythateasy entertain me with an adorable story about Drew Thomsen. (Yesterday was Drew's bday, btw. I was supposed to write fic for Crys in honor of that, but obviously didn't. Happy belated birthday, Drew!)

[livejournal.com profile] casualyobsessed & I are gonna see WTK next week; yay! She's supposed to be working that day, though, so I need to remember to fix that tomorrow. *g*

[livejournal.com profile] a_is_for_amy posed this question on her LJ, and I kinda wanna know what YALL think about it, so: Could a centaur be made into a werewolf or a vampire?

[livejournal.com profile] kerrikins posted this in her LJ.

Pick 10 people and give them the "you make my day" award. If you're picked, you are charged with picking 10 of your own. If you wanna do it, go for it!

[livejournal.com profile] bicrim: I love your perspective on things, your willingness to stand your ground, and the love you have for your boys.
[livejournal.com profile] ccmom: another mommy! your txts always make me smile, and I like that we can talk about kids and life and whatnot even though we don't share a lot of fandom right now.
[livejournal.com profile] trackscovered: You are adorable, and I love to laugh with you at the crazy shit you do.
[livejournal.com profile] gelsey: You are such a warm, friendly person, and you keep providing me with positive thoughts even though I know you're going through a rough patch of your own.
[livejournal.com profile] lilian_cho: I'm not gonna lie, I just keep you around for your OCD habit of tagging my entries for me! :P Just kidding. I love your unique way of looking at things and the vast amounts of creativity you have and RIVER!
[livejournal.com profile] casualyobsessed: Best little sister EVER.
[livejournal.com profile] fangs_up1: b/c I know you'll get jealous if I don't put you. And yeah, I'm probably making fun of you. <3
[livejournal.com profile] shutyourface: I know we haven't been friends long, but I LOVE YOU and I don't think a day has gone by in a long time that you haven't made me smile.
[livejournal.com profile] phaballa: You love me even though I like Ryro. :)
[livejournal.com profile] gossymer: we don't talk very often at all, but since I stole my layout and my profile codes from you, plus I use icons you made, I'm reminded of you and your awesomeness EVERY DAY.

And [livejournal.com profile] gelsey did this other meme.

Ronnie has an ear infection and is whiny & clingy.

We all loved Prince Caspian. I love how the magic of it made me feel all happy-tingly inside. And now I need to read Narnian AU where Susan and Caspian get married.

I have one last week of this term of classes. Yay!

I also am boring. Sorry. Go ahead and return to your regularly scheduled weekends. *mwah*

Hi! I've been so crazy busy this week, and when I'm not busy I'm sleeping (or falling asleep in the middle of chatting on Y!M -- sorry, girls!). Crazyness.

But I need a favor, please? The stupid wedding is next week (lol -- the other night I said something about the wedding and Davey was like "Mom, I think my hearing must be wrong, b/c I thought you just said a bad word and I know you didn't call the wedding stupid!") and I need to make a couple mix cds to play in the background at the reception. So, recommend me any wedding/love type songs you think should included? Please and thank you?

*hearts* I'm doing homework this morning, but after I get done I need to upload pics from this weekend and then maybe post some fic. Maybe.

Love yall bunches!!! <3

I got a package in the mail from [livejournal.com profile] alli_everyday! YAYES!! Thank you, lovie!

Also, I owe a huge THANK YOU! to [livejournal.com profile] irisgirl12000, [livejournal.com profile] wook77, and [livejournal.com profile] reallythateasy for emailing/txtng me fic tonight while I was in my OMG SO BORING class. Yall are so good to me!

There was a fight at work this morning with the temps. It was mostly just yelling and stuff, but one of the temps (who had been let go and that was part of the problem) threatened one of our temp-to-hires (this girl named Jamin who we've had for almost six months now, and we're hiring her on after her six months is up, and who is six months pregnant) which, of course, started a huge thing b/c then all of us were jumping in it. I don't think that girl was really going to make good on her threats, but Toby walked Jamin out to meet her husband after work. The thing is, Jamin really didn't have anything to do with it, except that she's the translator most of the time b/c a lot of our temps don't speak much English. Idk. Also, there is one certain coworker who I just might strangle if they don't hurry up and fire him, omg.

Do yall think it's mean if I tell [livejournal.com profile] casualyobsessed and [livejournal.com profile] marauder_lover that they have to bring home all A's and B's on their final report card if they want me to take them to Warped?

My brother's ex-wife texted me last night and was like "I have a great idea! Why don't you come and stay with me on Saturday nights and you and I can take turns going out on Saturday night and then you can watch Rachel for me on Sundays!" Um, no. B/c I offered to watch Rach on the occasional weekend day if she can't find anyone else and I would do it all the time if I could but I can't b/c I don't have a place of my own and I don't like imposing on Mom and bringing Rach over here. And I don't go out hardly ever. And I already have weekend plans for like the next month at least. Wth.

There was something I was gonna say but I can't remember it right now. I'm sure I'll think of it later.

OH! Yall know that Santa Claus brought Davey a digital camera for Christmas, right? (one of the fisher price ones that's made of that really awesome kid-tuff plastic) Well, he takes some awesome pics with it. So, here's the plan. Yall tell me what you want me and/or Davey to take pics of over the weekend or the next several days, and we'll do it. The only things I can't take a picture of are inside my work (b/c we're not allowed) or myself my bedroom b/c it's a total disaster at the moment. I'm gonna try and post a couple of the pics Davey took today. They turned out amazing.

Ok, I'm off to finish the alex-porn do some beta work. Love yall!!

Rice Krispie Treats are like the easiest thing in the world to make! Why haven't I signed up to bring those to class parties before now?

I'm also trying out a new recipe for a Cinnamon Oatmeal Cake. I'll let yall know how it turns out. But before the next time I bake, I need to make an inventory of what we have in the kitchen b/c I never lay/measure my ingredients out beforehand so I don't realize that we're out of something until I need it, especially when it's something that every kitchen should have, like brown sugar or baking soda. Wth? Also, I hate the lack of counter space in out kitchen! Makes my adventures in cooking very difficult sometimes.

So, I got in trouble for stupid shit at work today. )

I get to see [livejournal.com profile] irisgirl12000 in four weeks! I'm SO EXCITED!!

Also, it's after midnight here, which means to me it's officially [livejournal.com profile] anasuede's bday!!

JERICHO! OMG! cut for spoilers ) Only two episodes left, omg, and I'm so excited! My Tuesday night class is supposed to last until 10, but the instructor said we'd probably be out around 9, so Yay for that.

Class went okay. Last night I had my med term class, which was really boring btwn the first-night kinda stuff and the fact we spent over an hour going over prefixes & suffixes and stuff that I already knew and the instructor talked to us all like we were four. And we had to repeat after her. And even after she said class participation was 10% of our final grade, only like three of us were participating. Then today, two of the girls from that class were complaining about how mean the instructor was and how hard they think the class is gonna be. *rolls eyes* They were also complaining b/c apparently they thought learning medical coding was going to be easy and apparently it's not. Big shock, huh? My class tonight, we were told we have a paper to write that's like 20% of our grade and it's gotta be 3-4 pages long. Including a title page and a reference page. In 14 point font. Should I be worried that's too easy?

As I txtd some of you this morning, when I was whining last week about being stuck at home, yall should've reminded me how much I hate my fucking job, omg. Today went okay; I'm not allowed to lift/carry more than 30 pounds and apparently Jon and Audelio were both told they had to watch me b/c they wouldn't let me pick up anything. Including the nice little two pound salt cellars. I'm gonna get spoiled. But I was missed. And we got caught up today.

Yall know that one of my concerns with school is not being able to spend enough time with my kids, right? Well, I got a call from one of the rec coaches tonight & apparently they're splitting the teams up this year by age instead of grade, which means Ronnie's in coach's pitch baseball and Davey's still in t-ball. Different teams. But they have practices and games the same nights! Which is gonna be a clusterfuck, omg. At least Sebastian (Ronnie's best friend) is on the same team, so hopefully I can work something out with his dad. And my brothers said they'd help out. But still. Difficulties!

Funny story: when we got home tonight, there was a message on the machine that just said, "Hey mom, it's me, call me back." and mom didn't know which of my brothers it was and both of their numbers were on the caller id and even after I listened to it I couldn't tell which one it was. It was kinda funny. They do sound almost exactly alike, but when they call me, Tim says "Hey, it's me" and RT says "Hey, it's your brother", so I know the difference then. Still, funny. I decided I'm buying both of them legos for Christmas, even though I said I wasn't buying them anything. I have no idea what I'm getting The Whiny Ass though. I'm getting my kinda-brother Drew a knife, but it's for his birthday and not really for Christmas b/c he turns 18 on the 27th. My kinda-sisters and Pam's husband Jay are getting lottery tickets. I think I spent more on Harley than I did on Haley & Joseph, but don't tell, okay?

We went out to dinner tonight & on the way out we were at the quarter machines & one of them had these silly little beaded bracelets in it and so I got one and it gave me two! So I gave one to Harley, and I didn't think anything about it until just now, but she and I got the same fortunes in our fortune cookies too. How weird is that?

We had our Christmas luncheon yesterday and we had a different caterer than usual and it was really good food; I was quite pleased. I was less pleased that they had scheduled the luncheon to last an hour and it lasted nearly two, b/c I had a crapload of work to do yesterday and I was leaving early to take the boys to the dentist. But we're pretty much caught up now. As of this afternoon, they were thinking we might not have to work Saturday, but we don't know for sure until the 2:00 meeting tomorrow afternoon. We're losing two of our temp-to-hires, one b/c she's incompetent and the other b/c he found a job that'll hire him on full-time with benefits. But that shorts us even more than we already are, and January is our busiest month b/c it's the end of the fiscal year for most of our clients and so they try to use up all their budget money and place huge orders. Plus we have two new, fairly large clients whose programs go live Jan 1st, so it's gonna be interesting. We did, however, steal Landon from one of the other departments, and I'm very happy about that b/c not only is a good worker (that'll give me two out of the six) but he's awesome in that when I get an attitude he gets one right back and no one else does that. It'll kinda help make up for the fact that Momma Crystal and Ross both deserted me. Oh, and Nancy, who is apparently happily settled into her new house up north. She's like walking-distance to the beach and she's loving it, so I can't be too upset that she left, I guess.

Oh, more work-related. They had a "samples shop" yesterday too, where we got free (mostly crappy!) things from old inventory & stuff. I got an awesome thermal blanket that says "battle of the bands" and a "death by chocolate" cookbook. I also got two South Park snowglobes, b/c we had a bunch of those & they were kinda pushing them on everyone. I actually collect snowglobes, even though most of them are in storage with the rest of my life, so I'm gonna put one with those. Idk what I'm gonna do with the other. Didn't really get anything else interesting. But it was nice. I also got a decent bonus. Not really decent in a real-world sense, b/c it's not really much of anything, but it was more than some of the people who've been there longer than I have, so that's something. Plus, y'know, they didn't have to give me anything. Also? One of the owners of our company (our company was started by a couple in their basement 17 years ago, blah blah blah, and now their three sons run it) was giving someone a tour of the facilities today and he (our owner) was in sweatpants, a sweatshirt, tennis shoes, and a baseball cap. I'm all for comfy and casual, but idk if that's the thing to wear to conduct business...

I was shipping christmas presents for the salespeople today so I was at the front ship station, which I hate b/c a million people walk by there and are all smiley and friendly and I have to pretend like I am too, but it's right by the vending machines and one of the IT guys got a candybar & it gave him two so he gave one to me. It was a Mr Goodbar, which I don't really care too much for, but I really just wanted the wrapper. I'm gonna stick it up my bulletin board with my 100 Grand wrapper. There are like three of you on my flist that'll understand that reference.

I have my van back. I forget who I told & who I didn't. I love it muchly, but I'm so freaked out something's gonna go wrong again, I'm kinda babying her. Also, I need to figure out how to move the second row of seats back a little further b/c Ronnie keeps kicking the back of my seat and it irritates the piss out of me.

Okay, it's finally Friday (or will be when I post this) so I hope everyone is ready for an awesome holiday weekend!

ETA: It's like 3:45am and all three of us just woke up at right about the same time for no reason. We share a room, the boys sleeping on the bed and I sleep on the floor, and Ronnie sat up and was like "Oh my gosh!" and there is SNOW outside. Like, an actual accumulation of snow! WTF? Wednesday, it was icing when I left the house for work. By midafternoon that day, it was sunny and almost 70 outside. Thursday was pretty much in the 60s all day. And now there's snow. I just don't get it.
