Guess what?! Apparently, my muses decided to return from vacation! YAY!! Along those lines, I'm still open to drabble prompts and requests in any of the following fandoms: SPN, QaF, HP, LotR, Narnia, LOST, Criminal Minds, Jericho. I think that's it. Give me a fandom, character, prompt, whatever. Just don't give me a prompt of Dean, cotton candy, & teddy bears, b/c then I'll have to write teenage!Dean taking some girl to a carnival and Sammy giving him shit over it b/c Sam's not old enough to be all girl-crazy (don't ask).

Onto sharing things: (thank you for reading and, even if you're not gonna participate, pimping would be awesome)

Y'all know about this already, right? No? I'm not sure I can explain it without stealing from their own descriptions, so that's what I'll do.

The basic idea behind 14 days is to have two weeks of sustained discussion and pubbing for women's groups, organizations that support women, or issues that need increased awareness -- to that ends, it helps to have a carrot to dangle. 14 Valentines was a concept slash project pioneered in 2006 going into its second year, based on the idea of fandom as a community of women and the power of the relationships there. It's meant to raise awareness -- and hopefully as a result increase participation in community women's groups. 14 Valentines will run for two weeks (14 days) for the first half of February, ending on Valentine's Day. The mission of 14 Valentine's isn't to solicit money for the cause -- as anybody who has worked at a nonprofit knows, money does not fix all or even some of the problems -- but instead of remind everybody that there is a cause, that it touches each of us every day and that we should embrace the agency we're lucky enough to have and do something good with it. We're all global citizens -- we're a global sisterhood, too.

How it works:
How this will work
Basically, on the 14 days of February, [livejournal.com profile] rageprufrock or [livejournal.com profile] vylit will make a post in this community and link to a foundation or group that's covered under the theme of that day and talk about the issue. Those of you that sign up will make a contribution on whatever day you sign up for (contributions can include fic, icons, manips, vids, etc.), and either post a link to your own group or foundation that falls under the theme for that day, or you can link to the one that [livejournal.com profile] rageprufrock and [livejournal.com profile] vylit put up.

Whatever creative thing you come up with has to be posted on the day you sign up for. You don't have to incorporate the theme of the day into your fic/vid/manip/icon -- no need to write a fic about hunger, if you sign up for the theme day that deals with hunger; it's the theme for the women's issue we're drawing attention to, not your contribution.

HERE is their sign up post, and you can find more information about the community on the community itself.
