deleerium: You've got like eight million pieces of fic that I need to catch up on and I can't wait to do it. I'm not even a Orlijah shipper (most of the time) but for your stories, I definitely am. I haven't actually had an LJ conversation with you in forever and a day, but recently you said something on your LJ... *goes to look* Ah yes. Big gorgeous soggy snot shaped wads of snow. And it just brightened my day to read that. For no reason other than I love the description.
dove95: You have been such a wonderful friend to me over the past year. You were there with kind words when I was feeling down, willing to look over crappy fic that I never posted, and shared all kinds of awesome music with me. fiona_fawkes: How strange is it that I think of you as one of one my favoritest LJ people and yet I really have no clue what to say to you here? My favoritest memory involving you is the picture you took to cheer me up that one day last summer. It's taped to the inside of one of my notebooks, so that I have it there to look at when I need a smile and a reminder that I have the best, greatest, most awesome friends in the entire world. I can't wait to meet you in RL. Until then, I guess I need to be around more so I can participate in more Y!M chats.

Today's ficlet thingy is Ron/Pansy (from the Garden 'verse)
It was nearly a year ago that they had met, and so much had happened since then that it felt like a lot longer. Ron hadn't really thought about the time that had passed until he realized that this would be their first Valentine's Day together.
He skipped out of work early -- which was actually a relief because whatever was going on, or not going on, between Harry and Draco had turned the place into a warzone -- and stopped at the Muggle florist on the corner to pick up a dozen pink roses. He thought briefly about buying a card as well, but none of the preprinted ones fit what he was feeling, and an empty one would do him no good because he had no idea how to put what he was feeling into words. He'd just have to give her the flowers and then take the rest of the night to show her how he felt.
Today's recipe is
Butterscotch Brownies
1/4 c corn oil
1 c light brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 c chopped walnuts
Heat oven to 350. Grease 8X8X2 pan. Blend corn oil and brown sugar. Stir in egg. Sift dry ingredients and stir in. Stir in vanilla and nuts. Spread in prepared pan. Bake 25 minutes. Do not overbake. When slightly cool, cut into 18 bars.
