Best text I got yesterday: You are dangerously close to invoking plot in our selfindulgent bandom world!
haha. My friends are the best friends.
Took the boys to see HBP last night. I think that, like with OotP, I like the movie pretty well from a movie standpoint the first time I watch it, but after I see it more than once, I start picking out things I'm not happy with. I love Draco and Snape, which I don't think is a surprise to anyone, and Tom Felton and Alan Rickman did an excellent job. Things I didn't like about the film: What the hell was up with Narcissa's hair? Where was Bill Weasley? He was supposed to get bitten by Fenrir, correct? During the battle at hogwarts that didn't happen in the film? Plus, his engagement to Fleur is kinda important since that's a big scene in the next movie, right? I know that there was the whole thing with Sirius (they used the wrong spell in the last movie! I'm still not happy about that!) being definitively dead at the end of OotP in the movie 'verse, so there wasn't really a need to bring Kreacher into this to prove Sirius was dead b/c ownership passed to Harry. Kreacher is also a big part of the final book, but I'm afraid they're going to cut him out. There are some details I'm sketchy on, but I thought that Remus and Tonks didn't get together until the end of HBP, and I thought Ollivander's shop didn't get raided up the beginning of DH. I do approve of the Harry/Draco, lol. Harry totally stalked Draco the entire movie! Okay, one last thing and I'll shut up about HBP... Davey asked if Dumbledore was going to come back to life in the next movie like Gandalf did in LotR. My kids, wth?
The other day, me and
casualyobsessed and
fangs_up1 were hanging out (I think this was the day they were making their movie preview b/c they're silly and summer vacation makes them bored) and we were listening to The Used's Blood on my Hands and I said "some things can't be tweeted"> (the actual line is "some things can't be treated") and now I keep saying it. *fail*
Took the kids to see Looney Toons this morning at one of the local (small) theaters; my cousin Scott was there with his kids and his girlfriend. Free refills on popcorn = the kids went through FIVE BAGS of popcorn in the one hour show. I'm getting ready to head to my cousin Amy's for a birthday party and will probably get stuck over there all afternoon. Which means I'm gonna be txtng the heck out of a few of you, haha.
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!! <333
