Okay, so I'm planning on spending a lot of time away from the internet this summer - camping and the creek and whatever. And I am heading to both the used book store and the library this weekend, so I need book recs. I already have a list of books I want to read, but if there is something you think should be on my MUST READ list, please tell me in comments? Any type/genre/whatever, just book recs. Thanks! <3

Do you like Dean Koontz? Anything by him is excellent (though sometimes twisted and usually featuring a dog) but I think my favorite is Strangers. Kind of out there with the plot but the relationships he builds are A++.

Or if you're in a sci-fi/fantasy kind of mood, you can try Ender's Game.

Oooh or anything by Chaim Potok, but especially My Name Is Asher Lev and it's sequels.

Ever read any Anne McCaffrey? I love the Pern series.

... I'll stop rambling now.

STRANGERS IS TOTALLY MY FAVORITE DEAN KOONTZ! :)

I have had Ender's Game on my list for a while and haven't read it, so I will check. I have not read either of the other authors, so they can go on my list to check for at the used book store. Thanks! <3

I KNEW I LIKED YOU FOR A REASON. YOUR TASTE IS GOOD AND YOU SHOULD FEEL GOOD.

The thing is, my mind is a sieve these days and I don't even remember what Ender's Game is about. But I do remember being blown away by it. I know you'll enjoy it.
