To the mommies or anyone interested in kid movies...
Carmike and Regal Cinema are both doing their Summer Specials this year - kids movies during the day for $1 or $2 - which is a great deal. The movies aren't new ones, but it's a good way to beat the heat for a few hours and have some cheap entertainment (if you don't get drinks and snacks, lol, although Carmike usually has a good deal on kids drink & popcorn on these days). You can check their websites to see if there is a theater near you that participates:

Also, if you're into bowling, AMF has Free Bowling for Kids all summer - register and get a weekly voucher for two free games per child (doesn't include shoe rental). Free bowling available at participating AMF Bowling Lanes until 8 p.m., 7 days a week, May 14 – Sept. 3, 2012. They also have AMF Summer Passes available for ANYONE. Each AMF Summer Pass is $29.95 and allows you and three other family members ages 16 and up to bowl two games per day all summer long!
