Okay, so I'm planning on spending a lot of time away from the internet this summer - camping and the creek and whatever. And I am heading to both the used book store and the library this weekend, so I need book recs. I already have a list of books I want to read, but if there is something you think should be on my MUST READ list, please tell me in comments? Any type/genre/whatever, just book recs. Thanks! <3

I <3 used bookstores, especially mom-and-pop used bookstores. It was the first job I ever held never mind the fact that it went out of business barely a year or two after i left .

I have a hard time recommending books- I read according to how I'm feeling for the day. Fun Reads:

Janet Evanovich's number series "One for the Money", "Two for the Dough"...etc. #1 is pretty rockin'.

Anything Mercedes Lackey, particularly her Elemental or Valdemar serieses. Look for "The Fire Rose" or "To Take a Thief"!!

And any time I enter a used bookstore, I look for the out-of-print L.J Smith's "A Dangerous Game". I read it once while it was at my bookstore- then I recommended it to a customer and have never found a copy again!

Oops. Did I say "The Dangerous Game"? I meant "The Forbidden Game". It's actually a collection of three short- The Hunter, The Chase, and The Kill. Good luck finding it though.

The Hunter, The Chase, The Kill. A review.

"It's the sort of story that if made into a TV series now, would probably be a big hit. Actually, practically all of L.J. Smith's stories are those kind of stories. Yeah, yeah, very commercial fiction, they are. Probably would be junk food, if the classics are full-course meals. But these are GOOD junk food!"

thank you! I will keep an eye out for it!

I have a few Mercedes Lackey books, and I'm pretty sure she's in a couple of my compilation books. I may pick up something else by her. :)
