why_me_why_not | (no subject)

I am SO TIRED these past few days, ugh. Amy and I made like a thousand cookies this week (not an exaggeration - we made just over a thousand cookies to take to the rescue mission), and a bunch of us worked on handmade holiday cards for the veterans (there are 240 full-time residents of the Veterans Care Center that we're supporting), and I've gotten recruited to help with last minute shopping, even though I've been done, I just have a few more things to wrap. Today I worked on baking cookies for our family Christmas Eve party - I made chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal raisin cookies, there is peanut butter cookie dough chilling in the fridge for me to make tomorrow, and I also have to make peanut butter pie tomorrow (my brother made one for Thanksgiving, and it was good but it wasn't the same as

phaballa's peanut butter pie, which is my favorite, so I'm using her recipe) and muddy buddies. And fudge, maybe. Mom is making rice krispie treats, and Harley is making snickerdoodles and sugar cookies. SO MANY COOKIES!

I've also moved on to planning my next project for Soliders Angels and our next fundraiser ideas for Relay for Life, so there's that.

I went to bed at like 10ish last night and slept until 7 this morning, so I'd been up all day. After dinner, I was like "I'm going to my room. I'm going to tell you I'm wrapping presents, but I'm actually probably going to just take a nap." And I did. I dreamed I flew to London to visit

apiphile, and there were shenanigans with her and

swear_jar involving an accordion and a sketchy box van? There was no kidnapping involved, although it was discussed? idk.

YAGKYAS stories were posted this morning! I only glanced at a few of them - the one I wrote, the one

asimplechord wrote, and the ones that were gifted to us - but they're awesome. I actually don't hate the one I write, after rereading it, although I did spot a tense-shift error in there that I missed in editing, blah! The one that was written for me is fanastic, and it's Doc/Nate, and I guess I can link you to that one even though I can't link you to the one I wrote until author reveals are posted next week. :)
