Ready for another amusing tale about me so you can all laugh?
Had to go to the store. Dug my snow boots out of the bottom of the closet. Didn't wear them last year at all so they've been in the closet for a while. There was shredded paper & stuff in one of the boots, so I was fussing about Baggie not doing her job and these damn mice and I shook the shoe out over top of the trashcan -- and two baby mice fell out. Well, not baby baby mice, but they were pretty little, maybe an inch apiece. The boys were mad I wouldn't let them keep them.

It was bad enough when my mom found a mummified cockroach in her slippers. Ewww...

There was a cricket in my shoe once. I hadn't checked my shoe first and just put it on and it felt funny so I took it off & shook it out -- I dunno if the cricket was already dead or if I squashed him. *shudders* yuck.
I always check my shoes now.

I'm glad you found it and not me.
*note to self: check winter boots for mice before putting them on*

Bagheera (my cat) needs to do a better job catching these little suckers!

I had a pet mouse once, when I was younger. Well, we actually had several store-bought mice over the years, but once I caught a field mouse on one of the job sites and took him home with me. :P I think we let him go though.
