I was waiting on this concert for like two months and I woke up sick this morning. Which so sucks. I was laying with Davey last night and he looked at me and was like "Momma, I'm gonna make you sick, y'know." And true enough, it happened. Actually, both boys have ear infections and I had to take them to Urgent Care this afternoon so now they're on antibiotics. Fun.

Anyway, I have a question for yall. I have NEVER been to a concert where I sat down the whole time. Never. Granted, I've only been to a couple dozen concerts (not counting the local bands we go see at Greystone) but still. I especially don't see how you're supposed to stay sitting when the band is doing get-up-and-dance, sing-with-us kinda songs. So me and Harley and several of the girls that were sitting in the same row as us stood up for most the concert tonight & the guy behind us was a real jerk about it. Honestly, when I go to a concert, I expect to stand for most of it, and if I'm gonna sit down, I expect that the person in front of me will still be standing, which is why I like sitting in the risers on the back of the floor b/c that way I can still see. But my stepdad says that I'm wrong and we were extremely rude, and that if you go to a concert and pay for an actual seat, then you should sit in it and not stand up at all.

So, what is the proper concert etiquette? Or your opinion on it?

Aww, poor Dade! Ear infections suck. At least my boys are very good about taking medicine, so I don't have to fight with them.

I think it depends more on the venue and the seating rather than the type of music. I've been to a few concerts that were just open floor & you stand whereever you can squeeze into a spot. I dunno, apparently I'm just a redneck and don't know any better.

I'm pretty sure his daddy will have had him take all his medicine before he's home. Sure as hell freaked me out when Rick called for the medicaid id number though. Gah. It's the damn altitude changes every other month that's do this. He comes back sick EVERY time. The only difference this time is he stayed up there an extra week which is why he was sick up there and not here.

And both of those concerts I mentioned were the same venue. But yeah, when I go to small clubs it's anywhere you can squeeze. And I always wear my Army boots so when people jump on my feet I don't feel it. But you better believe they feel it if I jump on theirs. Haha.

seven to ten days of medication kinda sucks, no matter how you cut it. And i bet it did freak you out. it's gotta be hard on dade going back and forth between you two. :(

Clubs are a whole diff scene. And it depends on whether my cousin Trey is working at the club as to how we handle that.

We've actually reached a point where Dade is doing it by choice now. It's hard on all of us though. Just want to smack some sense into Rick sometimes, but it isn't worth it.
