It kinda bothers me when people call my little girl "Kelly". Kelly is my sister. Kelly Marie is my daughter. It's silly, I know, but it still bothers me.

Random story: When we were teenagers, Janet was the first one of us to get her license b/c she was oldest. She had this old Chevette, and anyone who's seen a Chevette knows they're not big cars, even the four door ones. But we could fit 7 or 8 people in there. And we decorated the ceiling with glow-in-the-dark stars. One thing about the Chevette was that you could take the keys out of the ignition while the car was running, and one day Jeff (Jeff was a huge part of my teenage years, in case yall can't tell) took the keys out and was teasing Janet by holding them out the window and dropped them in the middle of 4th street and we had to go back and search for them. Good times.

Dean's not really one to throw fits. He knows Daddy's having a hard time, and usually he tries extra hard to behave. It makes him feel big and special to be a good little soldier. But this isn't about him; it's about Sammy. Sammy, who's been fussy for days -- Dad says he's "cutting teeth" -- and who hasn't stopped crying since they got in the car.

Daddy says they'll stop somewhere and get Sammy a new blanket, but Dean knows it won't be the same. Sammy's blanket is special. It's the one Mommy wrapped him in that night, the one Dean carried him outside in, and no matter how many times Daddy's had to wash it, it's still full of Mommy magic and Dean's tears. It makes Sammy feel loved and safe, not just warm.

Dean knows this -- he just does -- and he's not going to stop whining until Daddy turns the car around. Taking care of Sammy has been his job since before he had to become a good little soldier.

"Woohoo! I got it!" Pete bounced into the room and dropped a large book into Patrick's lap before dropping onto the couch beside him. "Read to me?"

Patrick sighed and carefully marked his page in the book he had been reading before picking up the one Pete had brought. "Harry Potter?"

"Yeah, it's the last one. I wanna find out what happens for myself before someone else tells me."

"Then read it yourself," Patrick suggested.

"But, Patrick," Pete injected just enough whine in his voice to be endearing, "I like listening to you read. Besides, if Harry dies, I might need you here to hold me."

Patrick thought about refusing but there was really no point. In the end, Pete-logic would always earn Pete whatever he wanted.

Patrick opened the book and tried to ignore Pete's smug grin as he shifted around to hang his legs over the side of the couch and rest his head on Patrick's thigh.

"The two men appeared out of nowhere, a few yards apart in the narrow, moonlit lane."

Now, I think I'm off to take a bath. Love yall bunches!! *mwah*

I would totally download that to. I am completely in love with Patrick's voice. Alli & I were talking about something and I told her that I wanna be friends with Patrick so I can call him up and have him talk to me when I can't sleep or something.
