Sam & Dean are brothers. A demon killed their mom when they were kids (sam was a baby, dean was like 4) and their dad has been hunting the demon ever since & killing whatever evil supernatural things he comes across along the way. So that's what the boys were raised to do. Only, Sam went off to college so it's been Dean and Dad hunting. And Dad goes missing. That's where the series starts; Dean gets Sam from college b/c their Dad is missing and the two of them go on a hunt; when they get back, Sam's girlfriend is killed by the same demon that killed their mom. So they're hunting evil things, determined to find this demon, and looking for their dad. It's kinda cool b/c several of the episodes / what they hunt are based on urban legends. Not gay -- unless you believe the huge group of fangirls that insist they are. And I just typed (three times) "that incest they are". Yeah, anyways, it's pretty cool; comes on WB on Thursday night so you should catch it if you get a chance, or let me know and I'll send you the first episode. It's not really scary, b/c IIRC you don't really like scary, right?
