Aug. 11th, 2005 02:20 amOk, so the kids are sleeping and I should be doing housework. Ha. mimiheart. And working my way through jasmineskie's Viggorli fics.
I'm still being nonsociable & hiding from everyone. Pissing everyone off for not answering my phone, and I have my YIM and AIM cut off. I feel kinda bad about it, but I just... don't feel like dealing with anyone right now. I have a dr. appt on friday-- joy joy; they're gonna play with my meds again. I'm so excited. **voice dripping with sarcasm**
My ex-SIL got fired from her job for punching a customer (wtf?) so I'm losing out the little bit of $$ I was getting for keeping her kids. That was my money to go out with on Saturday night. S'ok, I'm not sure if I wanna be in the middle of all the hoopla anyway. It was supposed to be me, Tinsley, Teri, and a few others... when I talked to them last night, it's somehow grown to over a dozen people (at least) meeting at Macado's.
Anywho, no luck on the job front. Oh well.
Since this is a completely pointless post so far, I'll throw in a couple things you may have missed.
#1 -- I'm trying to compile a list of resource sites for authors/betas (not hp-specific, writing in general) and any suggestions/ideas/etc. will be greatly appreciated.
#2 -- For anyone who hasn't seen al's Fantastic Fanfiction Feedback File, please go check it out. It's utterly brilliant. It's basically a list of things you can type in the comment box to let your favorite authors know how you felt about their marvelous stories.alliwantisanelf started it & organized it, and more than a dozen people from at least two fandoms contributed ideas.
Baggie is chasing a moth that keeps flying around my computer screen. I'll try to put some pictures of him up tomorrow so yall can see the newest addition to our family.
And you all know that I post my stuff on OWL. I want to take a time out to remind everyone that Tauri isn't just for Harry Potter fics. There's Tales of Middle Earth (TOME) for Lord of the Rings fanfiction, Red Suits You (RSY) for Due South, and Firefly which is obviously for Firefly and needs stories! There is also the An Archive Like None Other (AALNO) for multi-fandom fiction, including Stargate, Star Wars, Babylon 5, Yu-Gi-Oh, The X-Files, Inuyasha, and others. Tauri is always looking for new writers and readers and would love to have you. Very friendly for readers and authors -- come check it out! :)
