Sep. 25th, 2005 03:31 amAight, I know several of you on my flist share a love of music. Well, the wonderful
deliciantasy has been posting music links on her LJ the past couple days, and I really should have been pimping them, but I wasn't. So I'm gonna make up for it here.
Her latest music offering, plus a QAF-type challenge...
and yesterday's crackified offerings were Wonka's Welcome Song and Babylon covered by Howie Day.
the day before was Canned Heat by Jamiroquai and Beautiful Night by Ani DeFranco.
And her first offering was Creep (originally by Radiohead) covered by Damien Rice.
So, go steal her music and leave her mad love in comments, b/c she is fantastic. Leave her some music recs, too, if you want, b/c I know she was looking for some a while back. And any of you authors out there that are looking for songs-that-inspire-fic, ask
deliciantasy. She's got a bunch.
Oh, and while you're visiting de's journal, be sure to read her 20 Things About Draco Malfoy as Remember by Harry Potter
I'm off to bed. G'night y'all!

Sep. 25th, 2005 05:50 pmIt rained. Go figure.
JRDF walk went great; our team only had 11 people, but we raised just over $2000, which is excellent. The walk was four miles, and the boys walked almost the entire way. My brother was with us, so he and Ronnie were ahead of us, and RT was telling Ronnie all kinds of bad things. Like if you jump off the bridge into the coal-car of the train, it doesn't hurt as long as you make sure you land in the coal. Which is true, but Ronnie's still a bit too young for that. I was in my teens before I ever did anything like that. Davey (Mr. Independent, I'll-do-it-myself and I'll-do-it-my-way) insisted on wearing Ronnie's shoes on the wrong feet and without socks. And this wasn't the first time this week. So he ended up with blisters on the tops of his feet. I carried him part of the way, but most of the way he wanted to walk so he could stop and dawdle and pick up stuff. He put his shoes on the right feet about halfway through. We were the very end of the walkers. We ended up walking with this woman who had her two kids in a wagon; her 5 year old was just recently diagnosed with juvenile diabetes, so she had a bunch of questions since Chrissy was about that age when she was diagnosed (7 years ago). Anyways, thanks to Davey, when we reached the end of the walk, I had 4 pinecones, a pompom, two bottles of water, several flower buds, and a handful of rocks in my pockets. Two balloons tied to my belt loops. A wet washcloth threaded through one of my beltloops. Davey's shoes in one hand, and Davey on my shoulders. We got rained on for about the last mile or so, but it wasn't too bad. We had a good time, actually.
The girls (Harley, Haley, & Chrissy) were discussing Halloween and I agreed to help them figure out their costumes, and I also agreed to help them make tshirts to wear to the GoF movie, since I'm taking the three of them the night it opens.
Um, there was more I was gonna say, but I don't remember it. So I'm off to start the laundry and make dinner and throw the heathens in a bubble bath. And I'm gonna restart my computer since MSN is still being wonky. Hopefully it'll come up this time...

Sep. 25th, 2005 11:06 pmThis was passed on to me by someone on my flist, so I decided to share the love.
mousapelli has written 21 Stories in 21 fandoms.
If you're on my flist, I'm sure you can find at least one story/fandom on the list that rocks your socks. Go read, and be sure to leave
mousapelli lots of love because this had to have been a huge undertaking.
And while I'm rec'ing, I may as well add
musesfool to the list. Actually, I'm pretty sure I got the link above from her too. But she's posted some amazing new stuff too. Here's a link to her post about them. OMG, the puppylove/puppysmut is fantastic. Please, please, go read! Especially
deliciantasy and
ltlredhairdgirl, b/c I know you two will enjoy.
