for nymphadora17, who asked for LOST, Kate/Sawyer, stars. I should have said up front that I haven't watched any of Season 3 (fell in love with Criminal Minds instead, with the occasional flip to the CW to catch OTH) so this'll have to be pre-that. 100 words.

Did yall know that today is J.R.R. Tolkien's birthday? It is. And another very important birthday is coming up. Well, there are several. Like Krystal and fi, who are both very important and will get lots of love from me on their birthday. But the one I'm talking about right now is Dean Winchester, whose birthday is January 24th. And who doesn't love Dean? So, how about creating some love for his birthday! wendy has issued a challenge of sorts for Dean's birthday: Let's have some fic about how Dean celebrates his birthday! Doable, right? The plan, I'm pretty sure, is to post new stuff on the 24th and link it to wendy so she can do a master list, and if you have already-written stuff about Dean's birthday, link that to her too. Also, wendy and mkitty_03 are still gathering money to donate to an animal shelter in Jared Padalecki's name during Fangoria. They plan to give him a donation card so he knows how much his fans love him, and also to help out a really, really worthwhile cause, The Woodstock Animal Foundation. This is an awesome cause, yall, even if you have no idea who Jared Padalecki is (although if that's the case, where have you been the last year or so that I've been obsessed with SPN). We'd love to have your support, whether it be a donation or spreading the words about the project or just kudos to wendy & mkitty. They're taking donations through mid-January or so, and all the details regarding donations and the project itself can be found in this post.
