(no subject)
May. 1st, 2009 01:05 pmSo, my
bandombigbang draft was completed and turned in. I'm hoping that the fact that I absolutely hate it is just because I'm tired of staring at it. We'll see what my betas have to say. Also, reading over the summaries at the mixers sign up post (what? I can't help it!) makes me really excited to read some of these. I predict there will be no writing done in the month of June, what with
bandombigbang and
spn_j2_bigbang.
In the meantime, the master list of fic and art from
j2_everafter was posted. I've been kinda waiting on those, b/c Jared+Jensen+Disney? YES.
I've also been on a The Used kick this week. I wanna blame
shutyourface since she brought it up in her LJ the other day, but I have to admit I already had two TU fics open in tabs at the time. Where is all the fic? There needs to be SO MUCH MORE of it and I can't find it. Yall should rec me your favorite TU fics or something. Or write me some!
I mentioned to
wendy the other day that my reward to myself for finishing my bigbang was going to be a geek picspam, centered on Sam Winchester and Spencer Reid. Any other fandom-geeks you recommend I include in that?
Also, tomorrow is Sam Winchester's birthday!! I want happy!Sam fic! Or porn, I wouldn't say no to that. And the show last night? <3 I miss the days when I loved Supernatural. *sigh*
Jon just texted me to tell me that everyone at RMG just got an 8% pay decrease. Oh, how I don't miss that place. But he distracted me, so uh...
The drabbles from the alphabet post are coming; I have 5 or 6 of them done, plus a few other things I'm going to include. Should I post them in groups as I finish them or wait until they're all done and post them all at once?
And two messages brought to you via
copperbadge:
luckyckljw is a photographer and artist (you can see some of her work here) who is looking for subjects and models in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area (or as far away as Austin) and thought LJ might be able to help her out. She says: ....themes have covered concepts of beauty as it relates to size; relationship structures and the expression of love; and gender. I want to cover themes including what I've mentioned and also touch on religion/spirituality, sexual preferences (BDSM and other non-vanilla sex), cosplaying, cross-dressing, and the lifestyles that surround all of these. So, I'm helping spread the word. Check out her post for more info, and if you're in the area (or not but know someone who is) consider helpin' make some AHRT! :D

Sam (aka
copperbadge) just self-published Nameless, his first novel, edited and designed with the help of LJ readers.
Christopher, the only bookseller in the small farm town of Low Ferry, lives an uneventful life -- until one day he encounters a shy newcomer named Lucas, and accidentally sells him the wrong book. What follows is a journey for both men, in vastly different ways, set against the strange, ritualistic, magic backdrop of a midwestern winter.
You can check out more about Nameless at his blog post or buy Nameless from Lulu here.
