Apr. 3rd, 2013 10:15 pmSO TIRED, OMG. I swear we walked forever today, I always forget how HUGE the NC Zoo is.
Also, I had super spotty cell service there (again, I always forget that!) so I couldn't spam twitter with ridiculousness. Like the kids saying "I don't want to touch it with my hands, I just want to feel it on my tongue!" which is a hilarious out-of-context quote. I can't even remember what else I wanted to tweet or tried to tweet and couldn't, which is kinda sad. There probably would have been a lot of random Wagon Wheel lyrics shouted out, because Darius Rucker's version of that song is currently Ronnie's favorite, and every time we'd see a sign that said "Raleigh" he'd start singing ("I'm hoping for Raleigh, I can see my baby tonight!"). And there were a LOT of Raleigh signs. Also, there were a lot of Charlotte signs, which kinda confused me, because I totally wouldn't even think of going to Charlotte that way. (Although, an exception would be made for something like that 80-some car pileup on 77 last weekend that closed down both lanes of the road, because 77 is my usual route to Charlotte) But it's just weird because from where I am, it's about three hours to Raleigh or about three hours to Charlotte. And to go between Raleigh and Charlotte takes about two and half or three hours, depending on traffic. I guess it's a pretty equal triangle?
Anywho. The zoo was pretty great. The kids behaved mostly well, and Jamie and I had some time to talk, about weddings and babies and fun stuff like that. I did get a phone call from my dad that something had come up with his friend and he needed a ride home after his outpatient procedure today, which I couldn't really do anything to help b/c I was in a different state, and now he's not answering his phone, but I figured someone would have called me or Kristina if anything was wrong. The drive wasn't too bad, but I definitely prefer the Charlotte drive. I don't understand people who choose Greensboro over Charlotte when it comes to driving to NC for stuff. Also, we had to go through Martinsville, and everyone is gearing up for the race this weekend, and I'm STILL sad I don't have tickets. Bah humbug!
I have Things to talk about but I am too tired to even start tonight. Which probably means they'll get pushed to the side and not talked about, but whatever. I'm gonna go bug
asimplechord via email, because I can. Although I'll probably just fall asleep, lol. Love yall! <3
