Mar. 26th, 2019 08:13 pmSO MUCH has happened since I last posted, and I want to talk about it all. But who knows when I'll get a chance to do anything. So, highlights!
* Davey's leg actually was fractured, so he ended up in a boot for a week ,then a cast for two days, a boot for another week, a cast for another couple of days, it was a mess. He missed four weeks of the wrestling season.
* Davey flipped his car into a ditch. (reason for the two day cast; we had to go to the ER to have it cut off because it was soaking wet)
* Our wrestling team did pretty great. We had five go to states, and one placed 3rd in the state final.
* A kid from Amherst got busted with a juul before the championship matches. Even though he was 18, it was still on school property and still against the rules of the VHSL contract all athletes sign. So he was escorted off the property before the last match of his high school career and lost the first place match by forfeit.
* Davey placed 6th in Regionals and didn't go to states but I'm still super proud of him.
* My mom was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer and spent 2 1/2 weeks in the hospital.
* Bebout basically lives with us now. And he had knee surgery last week. He may not be able to do sports next season.
* Ronnie basically lives with his girlfriend now. And he graduates in a couple short months.
* My neighbor that fosters, the one I adore, had to put two dogs and a cat down this month.
* I spent two of the last four weekends on Youth Group Retreats, which were great experiences but oh so tiring.
* Migraines still suck.
* I will be going to NYC and DC next month with Davey for the Christian Citizenship Seminar.
* Someone hit Ronnie's truck where it was parked last week and did $3000 worth of damage.
* I'm going to Heroes and Villans Con in Nashville in August with some of my crew.
* I've seen the new How to Train Your Dragon movie four times, and Captain Marvel three. I love my AMC A-list.
