Quite a few of y'all on my flist seem to be bored. I'm sorry! So, how's this:
1. I need some help updating my Author/Beta Resource Page. If you have any links/pages/sites/whatever that you use regularly as an author or a beta, please share them!!
2. I'm still looking for a beta. I have the next chapter of Garden of Sun and Tears, the first half of a two-part puppy fic, and the crack!fic HP/LotR crossover that I still owe![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

3. Okay, we've all done the memes/surveys/whatevers where you put in you favorite food and your favorite color and what you're wearing. Well, I was in the mood for something a bit different, something that'd actually help me get to know some of you. Or help you get to know me. So I compiled some random questions, pulled from several different places. I've given my answers in the post. If you wanna answer in comments, go ahead. If you want to post this in your own LJ, that's great too. If you wanna answer some of the questions, feel free. Just an exercise in sharing & getting to know each other.And a good way to procrastinate

1. My prescription copays going from $40 a prescription to $20 a prescription

What world record would most want to break or establish? Um, I'd hate being well known, so I really wouldn't want to make/break any of them, I don't think
Are you usually early, on time, or late? Late. The White Rabbit's I'm Late song should be my theme song!
If there was one day you go do over again, what would it be? No. For all the bad that's happened, I can't change anything or I wouldn't be me, right? Things worked out the way they were supposed to.
If there is one day that you'd like to figure out what you did right & repeat it, what would it be? The day the kids were born. Not that I want to have another kid right now, but the whole feeling of "Wow -- I'm responsible for this wonderful thing"
What is your favorite word or phrase? I quit. I say it all the time at work, and whenever something isn't going my way or I get frustrated, I say it.
What word or phrase can you not stand to hear? I could care less. b/c, logically, if you could care less then you're admitting that you care some, which is the opposite of what the person is usually trying to convey.
Is there a person from your past you would like to talk to again, even if it would be a potentially painful conversation? Yes. who it is and the story behind it are best left for another day
What is your favorite sound to hear? windchimes
If you could live in any era of time, what would you choose and why? In the days when the West of the US was being discovered (think Oregon Trail days, or Little House on the Prarie)
What are you most self-conscious about? the fact that I'm a bit crazy. I think everyone can see it and they're judging me or humoring me or whatever

I like the small town feel -- where everyone knows each other & looks out for each other. And most everyone is well-intentioned. There's always a couple bad apples, but overall I'd rather have that than live around strangers
What was your first car and what was it like? An '81 Honda Civic, grey, four door, automatic. had 169K on it when I got it and I drove the heck out of it for three years before giving it to my brother -- who spraypainted it black and drove it another 2 years.
How old were you when you got your first traffic ticket and what happened? 16. Got a speeding ticket heading to Fast Freddy's after a football game one Friday night.
What is your favorite car story, be it an accident, road trip, etc? The fugitive we hijacked to Canada, as my brother calls the adventure? Have I told this story? My best friend & I met this guy (he was her stepdad's half-brother's friend) and we were going to visit my sister in NC and he asked if he could ride along b/c he was hitchhiking from NY to FL when he ended up in VA. So we said yes and ended up driving him all the way to Laurinburg SC. That's across two state lines. Three days later, the FBI came looking for him...
Do you give blood? Why/why not? Every 56 days. It takes fifteen minutes & can save three people's lives.
Are you listed as an organ doner? Again, why/why not? Yes. If I'm dead, I don't need them, right?
