Can I tell you what crackheads I have for neighbors? I left this morning to go pick up a prescription & get it filled, when I come back I have NO ELECTRICITY! So I call and I'm told my name isn't on the list for cut off (and I'm trying to hold my tongue b/c I have the bill in my hand that I got yesterday and it has no previous balance and it's not due until 4/13!) so they have someone come out. The tag on my box says it's cut off for nonpayment. So we have to go back and forth for a while while it's being researched. In the meantime, the electic repair guy notices my upstairs neighbors have an industrial electric cord running out their window to the house nextdoor! So he says that's highly illegal and calls that in. And I asked why I have a meter & they don't & he said it was ripped out b/c they had been cut off so many times and/or had been caught tampering with the meter box. Yeah. So it turns out it was the people upstairs who were scheduled for disconnect but it took hours to straighten it out. Now I've made enemies :) Not that we weren't already enemies b/c we're supposed to split the water bill and they've been here since July and haven't paid a single dime towards it. They owe close to $400 on it--my landlord's been paying their half but that's not the point. Anyways, GRRR, I lost a whole day I could have been playing on the computer :) but that's ok b/c I've got power now! Yay!
