You can't spell slaughter without laughter...

Why are all Fed-Ex people sexy? (and yes, this includes YOU -- you know who you are!) We have two regular Fed Ex pickerupper peoples at work, and they're both sexy as all get out (a guy M-T-Th-F and a girl on W) and we had a sub today who was drop-dead gorgeous. I swear!

Ok, so in my self-imposed absence, I apparently missed Beta Appreciation Day? So, let me take care of that. An unlimited amount of thanks goes out to my wonderful betas ltlredhairdgirl and mimiheart. And I'll throw in my former beta, lilian_cho, even though she has apparently disappeared from the lure of the intraweb? And, though they're not technically my betas, I do have to thank a few others for helping me with beta stuff and ideas in general: deliciantasy, ordinary_magic, snarkyroxy, and irisgirl. If I'm missing anyone, I apologize.

I didn't get my letter written. Or the house cleaned. Or the summer clothes put away and the winter clothes pulled out. The boys have had the super-virus-from-hell, so I've been dealing with that. Such fun. And working OT. Though it has its benefits. I did get a long crackified letter written to ltlredhairdgirl, though I spent half of it sounding like a high-school girl with her first crush. My cynicism is slipping. Or else this guy has warped my way of thinking.

Um, what else? Did I tell you all that puterpatty is the best thing since sliced bread? Too bad if I did, I'm telling you again. :P I hope she and alliwantisanelf are having the most wonderistic time ever! And although she has provided me with TWO CDS worth of great new (to me) music, I'm craving more.

So, flist, drop me a comment with a song/artist/album/whatever that you would recommend. I'd really love to see some different things. Share?

And another question, while I'm at it. This one related to fan fiction archive sites, any fandoms. What attracts you or what do you look for in an archive site? What would you like to see on an archive site, or what do you wish you could find an archive that did? Enquiring minds want to know!

Remus knew he was in trouble as soon as he opened the door to the flat he shared with Sirius. A brown bag lay on the table amidst wrappers that once held candy. Remus rolled his eyes; a bored Sirius was a very dangerous thing, and Sirius was increasingly bored lately now that everyone else had moved on into their adult lives. Not Sirius, though; he was the wizarding world's version of Peter Pan.

"Remus! You're home!" Sirius bounded up, full of the playful energy he usually only exhibited when he was Padfoot. "You'll never believe what I found today -- the most brilliant Muggle shop! Nothing but candy!"

"Sirius, please tell me you didn't spend the money we set aside for James and Lily's wedding present on Muggle candy," Remus said with a sigh.

"But, Remus, the wedding is weeks away! The candy is for now! You're going to love it!"

"What I'd love is a healthy dinner, like the one you promised to have waiting for me. Did you forget how to order takeaway?"

"No, but we can go out and get something, maybe that little place up the road you like so much, but first I have something you have to try!"

"Sirius, no more candy. You're just like a child, and all that sugar isn't good for you, or for Padfoot, and you're excitable enough as it is without the extra sugar," Remus started in the voice that always led up to an all-out lecture.

Sirius made a noise that sounded suspiciously like "VAROOM!" or a child's version thereof.

Remus looked at him in confusion.

"Oh, look," Sirius said innocently, pointing at a spot of nothing across the room and following it with his finger. "There goes my care bus..."

"What is it you want to share with me?" Remus relented.

"Poprocks," Sirius answered definitively, the eagerness shining bright in his eyes.

"Poprocks?" Remus repeated uncertainly.

"Yeah! They're brilliant! Little exploding candies that fizz and pop on your tongue! They crackle against your teeth and make your head feel all woozy, and they're utterly amazing!" Sirius flashed his trademark full-of-mischief grin. "And you'll never believe what I heard you can do with them..."
