Sep. 3rd, 2006 12:01 amOkay, so maybe it's silly of me to read something about commenting on fic when I haven't actually been reading any fic lately, but this post is too awesome for me not to pass on.
minisinoo wrote So you want to write to an author (but don't know what to say) and hits a number of excellent points and gives some great tips.
Relatedly, a (long) while back,
alliwantisanelf wrote al's Fantastic Fanfiction Feedback File, with a little help from the rest of us. It's a list of things you can type in the comment box to let your favorite authors know how you felt about their marvelous stories. And it's actually linked on the top of my LJ.
And with the way fandoms are changing, and the way I'm losing touch with them lately, I think now would be a good time for me to update the Author & Beta Resource Guide. Any suggestions or links that you wanna share for general writing tips/help or something fandom-specific (even if it's not a fandom I'm active in; I'm an equal opportunity compiler here!) would be fantastic!
And on that note, I'm off to bed. Love yall bunches!
