(no subject)
Jul. 26th, 2007 09:16 pmI think I might be on crack today. How about some random bits of info about me?
When I was a teenager, my best-friend-at-the-time (Janet) and I wrote a story. I dunno how long it ended up, but it was our book, and it was horrible with like graphic deaths of people we disliked. But the villain in our story was Buddy Jenkins. He was an evil spirit who killed people with a barbecue fork. Yeah, I have no idea either. Apparently I've always been attracted to friendships with strange people, because Buddy Jenkins was actually something our friend Jeff invented. And the barbecue fork is kinda scary...
We were poor kids, and we lived boring lives in a an apartment complex with a shitty piece of asphalt for a basketball court and a crooked field to play baseball in (where you had to run up the hill to get to first base and home plate, and third base was a manhole cover, and believe you me, there were lots of injuries there) and long days to fill. Of course, we always did have something to do. But some of the things we did were stupid. Like play throwback tackle in the street. And we played no-rules basketball. No wonder I've never understood the actual rules to those games. We also used to steal the carts from Kroger, and race each other down the hill on them. Which, you know, isn't such a good idea b/c they inevitably flip over before you get to the bottom of the hill. Yeah, we were way intelligent.
Harley keeps complaining that she's bored. I was never bored during the summers. Janet and I wrote all kinds of stuff. I wish I still had it, but somewhere in one of my moves most of it got lost. What I do have left is in storage. And even though most of it is awful, some of it is very amusing.
Harley and Jamie decided to join LJ. Harley =
casualyobsessed and Jamie =
marauder_lover They've both been warned to stay away from anything that says NC-17 or adult, or to face the big sister wrath, but they're both good kids. And I'd feel safe saying you could have a discussion with them about HP (they're both puppyshippers, b/c they're awesome like that, but they do like H/D) or about Supernatural (I don't think I've mentioned Wincest to them, but I know Harley agrees that Jared & Jensen are totally in love) or about Fall Out Boy (Pete/Patrick!!) or a number of other things. And if you feel like you wanna rec any NOT NC-17 or adult fics to them, please go ahead. They've been reading HP fic on like Muggle Net or something, which I've never visited. But LJ is better.
Also, randomly, if any of you are on myspace and wanna friend me (I already have several of you friended; my ex sis in law gets mad b/c my "porn friends" are higher on my friends list thingy on there than she is), here is my myspace page.
I haven't talked to
alli_everyday like all week. Wow. I think I might be having withdrawals...
I also started this post like an hour ago but have been standing outside talking to Tinsley for most of that hour. I win at staying focused.
One last thing -- I would totally bribe someone into completely redoing my LJ layout and/or my myspace page.
ETA: Another one last thing. Sorry. There's a band on myspace that's The Wading Girl and I haven't really listened to them even though one of my cousins recommended them, but then they were in the paper and I was like HEY! I went to high school with her! So. Check them out. *g*
