Who knew riding in a car could be so tiring?

The wedding was beautiful; I love seeing my cousin so happy and I really like his new wife. And I'm super excited for them and the new baby.

We got about halfway there today (it was four and a half hours away) and made a bathroom stop and realized my nephew was wearing his bedroom slippers and hadn't put his tennis shoes in the car. But, all things considered, that wasn't too big a deal. We found a Walmart when we got to Suffolk and bought him a pair, then went to Applebees for lunch. I couldn't decide between a chicken fajita rollup or shrimp & spinach salad, so I txtd [livejournal.com profile] irisgirl12000 and had her decide for me. The salad was fucking awesome, too, so I'm glad I did. I colored pictures with Joe while we were waiting for our food, and played I Spy with the all the kids.

The wedding was in a church and it was a relatively small crowd. Other than Keith's parents and brothers, we were the only members of his family there. He didn't invite our other cousins & stuff. I don't know if the other people were Lisa's family or if they were friends or church members or what. They kinda looked at us weird when my brother and sister took pictures during the ceremony. That wasn't the only time though. Apparently no one had thought about decorating the car, so we improvised and did the best we could with stuff we had in the trunk of mom's car and RT's car -- including gift bags left over from Davey's birthday party last week, and strings of animal-shaped plasticware held together with rubberbands -- and a couple rolls of toilet paper we swiped from the bathroom.

Lisa wore her mom's wedding dress and it actually hid her tummy really well, although I thought she looked adorable after she changed into a maternity top and a pair of jeans.

Keith stole one of the kids' vsmiles and was playing it -- there are pictures! this is what he does at his wedding reception! -- and also knelt down and let the kids dump bird seed down his shirt when they were walking out.

Um... they were really cute when they smashed cake in each other's faces.

Keith's brother Jason's girlfriend Melody caught the bouquet.

I have lots of pictures but I won't be posting any of them anywhere until tomorrow.

The song that Keith and Lisa danced to for their first dance was Emerson Drive's Belong to You, which is so sweet, but even sweeter is that one day they called one another and were both like "I know what song I want for our first dance" and they were both thinking of the same song.

Okay, I'm tired. I'm gonna goof off for a bit and then go to bed. *blows kisses*
