Nov. 10th, 2011 09:49 amI HAVE A PUPPY DILEMA!
The woman I was talking to last week about a puppy, who we were supposed to meet on Tuesday but who never texted me, just texted and said she was having phone service issues and apologized and her puppies are still available. She has two 10 week old terrier mix puppies, one boy and one girl. Super adorable. Vet says they won't get more than 25 or 30 pounds. Housebroken. When I first saw the pics of these puppies, I totally fell in love.
But my friend Crystal is trying to rehome her dog. Khloe is 2 years old, a lab/chow mix, about 35-40 pounds. Crystal has a 2 year old, so Khloe is used to babies/toddlers and is excellent with him. But she isn't good with other dogs. ETA: We're not planning on getting another dog, but we do want one that can be a family dog, which means taking him/her with us when we go places. We spend most weekends in the summer at the lake, and I don't know exactly what "not good with other dogs" means with Khloe. But at the marina, everyone has dogs and they mostly just run free. Dixie, my dad's dog, doesn't get along with other dogs, but she is just a loner and sticks to herself. If Khloe's like that, it'd be cool, but if she's the kind of dog to fight with other dogs, it'd be a problem. Especially when it comes to dogs like my brother's dog Daisy, who tries to make friends with every dog she meets. :/
I kinda really want a puppy puppy. But if Crystal doesn't find a new home for Khloe soon, she's gonna end up at the pound. You guys, what do I do??
