(no subject)

So, we managed to miss BOTH storms. Some drizzly rain, a few snow flurries, and high winds is pretty much all we got. Power outages due to downed trees, but that seems to be getting resolved very quickly. We never lost power or internet, just got cold. Salem is the only school district in the area that went to school today, which doesn't surprise me, but my kids always hate when they have to go to school and no one else in the neighborhood does.

I hope everyone is okay and that damage was minimal where you are. The pictures and videos coming out are like something out of a syfy disaster movie. It's so strange to watch video of places I know being taken out by the storm. OBX, VaBeach, Norfolk. On the flip side, just up the road from us they got like six inches of snow, so I'm seeing blizzard pics as well as flood pics.

I'm going to punch the next person I see on fb trying to make this something political, or saying this storm is "God's punishment" for the election or for gay people. Ugh.

Saw Sarah yesterday, got new meds (well, one old and one new), so we'll see how this works out. Talked to Anthony for a while this morning. The baby is going to be buried on Friday, so I'm working out who is going to the funeral home with me Thursday night and to the funeral Friday morning. (It's like a two hour drive to where the service is, so some of my other cousins + my brother are talking about carpooling.)
