Oct. 29th, 2012 12:27 amI need to quit looking at the shifting weather predictions, lol. We're prepared for whatever, so I should just let it happen, y'know? (But really - snow?! What is this nonsense, blizzard warnings related to a hurricane?!) Also, I was looking at pics of OBX earlier - NC12, the road that goes down the peninsula, is closed due to flooding and there are crazy pics from Pea Island, which was right by where we stayed for vacation. Crazy to see those pics!
Familywise, baby Landon's autopsy was done today (I'm still not sure what happened) and Anthony & Cheyenne are supposed to go make arrangements in the morning (but they're in an area marked for like six inches of snow, so). Graveside service for Bill in the morning. Also, my psych appt is tomorrow afternoon, so this storm better not fuck that up for me!
And because I know yall don't actually come to my LJ to hear about me, HAVE SOME LINKS!
HAVEN! DUKE AND NATHAN! I know I already posted this pic, but I love it! If you watch the show, you probably know why. But basically, these two have this terrific love/hate relationship, and I love it when they actually work together. Or when shit gets real and they do little things that indicate they may not really hate each other as much as they claim. (I should totally do a Haven post. *adds to my list*)
Hungry? Try one of these yummy-looking recipes! (haven't tried them yet, but they look awesome)
Caramel Pumpkin Brownie Trifle
Puff Pastry Mummies
Cajun Mac-n-Cheese
this pic of Johnny Weir being ridiculously adorkable.
earlofcardigans did a post of Avengers castmembers in bathtubs, which made me smile.
Bonus 15 minute segment from last week's Talking Dead (if you're watching The Walking Dead, you totally need to be tuning in for Talking Dead as well!)
Groundbreaking experiment in virtual reality uses video game to treat pain
Haunting Now-And-Then Photos of WWII Europe (via

Questionnaire by storiesfortravellers -- Avengers -- Mature, 1840 words -- Some time after the events of the movie, somebody sits the Avengers down together to go through some standard SHEILD paperwork. Of course, because it's SHEILD, the standard paperwork goes way beyond listing an emergency contact. To whom would they give prospective consent in case of a fuck-or-die/sex-pollen situation? Who would want appointed guardian if they're de-aged? If they're permanently transformed into a housepet? And so on... They discuss the questions and their answers with one another. Many pairings implied/discussed.

wishfulaces -- Leverage -- Everyone, ~4100 words -- Alec Hardison, if pressed, would probably suggest that he subscribes to a post-modern definition of identity.
Putting the Natives at Ease by
burntcopper -- Chronicles of Narnia -- Everyone -- No parent wants to know this about their children. An outside POV on the Pevensie children after they return from Narnia.
Limited Partnership by Pookaseraph -- Suits -- Teen, ~30000 words -- Mike isn't entirely certain how he let Donna and Jessica talk him into marrying Harvey while his boss was in a coma, even if they swore he wouldn't mind. He thought the hardest part would be going to the hospital and confronting the sight of his boss and friend lying there, but instead it turned out to be confronting his growing feelings for a man he'd never imagined seeing in a romantic light. Harvey's just glad he woke up from his coma, and trying to not be too upset that he's now married to the Associate he's had a crush on for over a year.
