I'm feeling better, but I still can't talk & am having a hard time breathing. And I can't stand most of my coworkers. Oh well.

The fantabulous wook77 wrote Wish Long and Long for slashfest, posted today b/c it was written for chaeldub, whose birthday is today. It's split into two parts, and it's wickedly awesome & angsty. HP fandom, Dean/Seamus, PG-13. Go read and leave wookie some love for the brilliant story line and imagery and everything else.

There was something I was actually going to post about, and for the life of me I can't remember what it is. *is a complete idiot* How about I leave you a bit of the crack that lives in my brain before I run off to reply to comments and find someone to talk to...



Reid looked up when Gideon entered the briefing room. "Garcia got a positive ID on the prints we found at the crime scene, the ones that seemed to appear after the local team completed their workup. They belong to a Dean Winchester."

"He's not our guy," Gideon replied without hesitation.

"Sir, he's on the FBI's most wanted list. He faked his own death in St Louis, and he's been connected to dozens of crimes." Reid was prepared to go on, but a look from Gideon stopped him.

"I know the Winchesters. Dean's not the one responsible for this." There was nothing but certainty in his voice. "And if he's involved in investigating this woman's death, it probably means this isn't our kind of case."

Re: Drabble: Do you write femmeslash? Because somehow, I've got this insane bunny about Heather/Emily, pre-Bombs, pre-Roger, post-Jake. Somewhen around college, when they meet and discover they're from the same area (somehow, I can't imagine young!Emily hanging 'round with Heather. Not really.), and as one (well except me, apparently) is wont to do in college they experiment, or something like that. It's insane and cracky but I can't get it out of my head. Thanks in advance; I'm a 1x11, so I'm able to play beta for any Hetsmut of the Jericho variant ^^

Sorry, I'm a bit behind. Still sick, unfortunately.

I've dabbled in femslash once (an original bit called The Last Time (http://community.livejournal.com/atomic_fiction/14256.html)) but I'm sure I can manage. I actually can totally see that -- I've had a bunny along those lines myself. Question, though, just for your opinion. I get the impression that Heather is younger than Jake & Emily. And I guess I'm kinda assuming Jake and Emily are the same age, but I could well be wrong with that. Hmm. Maybe Emily is younger... although her brother Chris is four years younger than her, and he and Jake were on a job together. Shoot, now I'm even more confused. Anyway, on the subject of Heather. She's been teaching at the elementary school for three years, and I kinda assumed she'd started right out of school. So she's like 26 or 27, so I'm thinking she's younger than Emily. Also, if Jake's been gone for five years, and Emily's a teacher now, does that mean she was in college when Jake left? And if so, does that mean that she like 27 in college? Did she get a late start, or did she have to wait and save up the money, or did she take community college classes for a few years before transfering to a bigger school? I'm just trying to figure out timelines, which really isn't important if I'm writing smut, but I like to have all the background figured out, y'know? I'm weird like that. And I'm sure I could fill in the blanks and make up my own background, I'm just curious as to your take on things.

Also, now that you've seen all the episodes, I'm way excited! The Jericho bunny has been very persistent, but I keep trying to push it off until I finish my slashfest. I've ended up compromising more than anything though. Ah well. But yes! I will email you with what I have! YAY!

AFAIK (and as far as Wiki knows) Jake is around 32, while Heather is around 26. I do, however, believe that Emily got a late start; I don't think she started college before the 5 years of absence. I don't know how long (if at all) teachers need to go to college before they can start a job.
Also, I think they don't went that far away - Emily because she was still, in a way, waiting for Jake, and Heather? Maybe because she had something else to do, somebody to care for.

I have the gmx one email address. I apologize for not getting back to you sooner; google & gmail's been a bitch the last several days and my access has been sporadic b/c our service provider was bought out and things are changing over, and I'm still sick so I'm not feeling very sociable AT ALL.

Just wanted to tell you I haven't forgotten & I'm working on jericho stuffs. And I have a tidbit of info to share with you. Apparently Sprague Grayden said in an interview that Heather's character is the minister's daughter, which I find very interesting & will definitely use as part of her background. Just wanted to share. *g*
