I probably wouldn't be the best person to comment on this, because I have never been at a concert where you had to stand at all. I've never been to anything but either theatre, opera, ballet or a philarmonia.. -_-9 *feels stupid*
But I think if it's any other type of concert than mentioned above, you should not sit.. And it's not rude, it's just having fun and doing what people do at concerts. So, long story short, the guy was just a jack ass. :)
