gelsey: I haven't talked to you in far too long. I'm so out of touch with the HP-sector of my flist. *feels guilty* I love how you make a gazillion posts though (okay, not really, but you do post a lot and it's awesome), and how you include your flist to make them feel like they are a part of your life. I hope school is going well for you! *hugs*

I know you through OWL, probably through snarky and Jen if I remember correctly. Which reminds me, congratulations on your OWL awards! You totally deserve them! I know I've read some of your fic, but I'm not sure what, so I think I shall have to go back and read again. *g* It's been a while since I've read any HG/SS, actually. I kinda miss it.
gossymer: You make the most fabulous icons. I especially love the ones that aren't fandom related. The ones of the universe are some of the most awesome things I've ever seen. You also have the ultimate H/D rec list, and that must've took quite a bit of time to put together, so I admire that. I love how you look out for your friends and post stuff that you think will interest them. Oh, and you are responsible for me reading original slash fiction for the first time, and I so fell in love with some of those stories. I'm so grateful to have you as my friend.

One of my favorite things about you and your LJ is the baseball game recaps. I thought that was so awesome. I'm not really into sports, but if I was, it'd be baseball. Of course, I'm all about some Carolina league ball, though. I know that parts of last year were rough for you, so I hope this year is loads better.
humantales: It seems that since you've been back online, I've not been around, which kinda bites b/c I really missed talking to you. I love the depth that you put into the stories that I've read. I love that you call your husband "Goofy" and your son "Max". I love how friendly and personable you are, and I hope to be able to catch up with you in the near future.

You let me talk you into challenges when you know you shouldn't sign up for them, but you never blame me for it. You beta stuff for me even when it's in fandoms you know nothing about. You listen to me bitch about stupid, inconsequential things, and you also make me feel less-guilty about things I shouldn't feel guilty about to begin with. I wish Texas weren't so far away b/c I'd love to steal you away from MrI for a fangirl night on the town, dinner and talking to the wee hours about things that only another fangirl and beta would understand. Also? I love the way you talk about your twin sister. And the rest of your family, but especially her. I think you are one of the most awesome people ever, and I love you muchly.
jainadurron: I think I need to tack a post-it on the top of my monitor that says "sign on AIM" so I can talk to you more than I do. You were, I think, the first person I ever really talked about SPN with at all. I loved it when we would chat and discuss the boys and the show, and you'd feed me tidbits of what was coming up in Castles. I honestly am not usually a fan of OCs in fanfic (even though I wrote HP fanfic with an OC that I love), and there are only two or three in SPN fandom that I'll even read, but I so love Anna. I also love the depth you add to your story, and how you discuss/plot things out. Not to say I don't love the .5 chapters too, but I love how you made Anna come alive for your readers, so we can hear her in our heads too and have those moments when we're watching the show and think "hmm, now if Anna was there, what would happen?" But I miss our talks in general though and I really do need to start catching up with you more.
jamie2109: It's inevitable that you will forever be known to me as de's friend, I think. I hate that I can't think of much to say here. I love reading what people come up with for the AWDT prompts, and sometimes I steal them to drabble to but nothing good ever comes of it, or else I take three months to write it, but I love the prompts.
janicechess: Do you love me as much as I love you? *g* I love that you made me an icon out of that, btw. I love it when you and I end up in the same Y!M chats, even though it doesn't happen often lately. I love talking to you, on LJ and off. I love the way you write, especially the crack and the original/unique ideas. I hope you and MrChess are getting settled into your new house and that life is good for you.

Jess had known since before they moved in together that Sam loved to cook. At first she had thought it was a ploy to impress girls, but the more she got to know Sam, she realized that he liked the idea of homecooked meals and baking from scratch. She didn't ask too many questions, just teased him that if he kept it up, he was going to make her fat. Which of course led to conversations and demonstrations of how to work off all those calories.
"Sam?" she called as she walked into the apartment and dropped her books down. He didn't answer, but she followed the noises from the kitchen and found him finishing the icing on a cake. A heart-shaped cake. "You baked me a cake?"
"Red velvet. Of course, if you don't like it, I'm sure that redhead that just moved in across the street..."
Jess smacked Sam on the shoulder. "I don't think so."
Sam leaned down to kiss her. "Happy Valentine's Day."
Let the other girls argue over whose boyfriend got them the most expensive piece of jewelry or took them to the nicest resturant; she'd keep Sam. She loved him and he loved her, and they were happy, despite the secrets, and it was more than enough.
Your recipe for today is
Lemon Lush
1 c flour
1 stick margarine, softened
1 c chopped pecans
1 (8-oz) pkg cream cheese
1 1/2 c powdered sugar
1 (13-oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (3 3/4-oz) pkg lemon instant pudding mix (can substitute butterscotch or chocolate)
3 c cold milk
1 tsp vanilla
Mix flour, margarine, and pecans for crust. Pat into a 9X13-inch pan. Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes. Let cool. Cream powdered sugar and cream cheese together. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping; spread over cooled crust. Beat together pudding mix and milk for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in vanilla. Spread over cream cheese mixture, then spread remaining whipped topping and sprinkle with a few chopped pecans. Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours or overnight.
