Why do I feel the need to start every LJ post with "I know I have comments to reply to and that I still owe out drabbles..." B/c I do know these things, I just... I'm so easily distracted lately. I'm sorry!

slash_friday that every one of you needs to check out! Here's the lowdown: The premise is this - every Friday, a prompt will be given. These prompts will include photographs, phrases, quotations, words or songs. Your mission is to write a fic based on it. You have one week or until the next prompt is given to link to the prompt post. Any fandom (or original fic) goes, as long as it is slash or femmeslash. Het is allowed as a secondary pairing only.
The prompt for this week a photograph and is located HERE. Take a look and see if it sparks any bunnies for you, and be sure to pass the word along to your friends.
While I'm talking about the awesomeness of wookie and the things she's involved in, I wanna give yall a heads up that the next round ofslashfest opens to take prompts on March 30th. You can submit up to three prompts (can be the same fandom, but each has to be a different pairing), so be thinking about what you'd like to request. And for all of you out there going "But I don't know what I'd like to read!", that's a damn lie. I see it in throwaway comments all the time, the "I want to read something that..." or "There needs to be fic where..." So, I know all of yall can come up with something good.
And all you writers? Be prepared to make a claim or two. When claiming opens, I know there are a couple of carried-over prompts that I'm gonna be pimping out because I'd really like to see them written.
Now, I'm off to beta and write and do other things. Love yall!!!
