(no subject)

Our internet connection is only working at random. Apparently I'm not quite as awesome as I had thought. But I'll be around on and off all day. Ronnie had to go to the dentist this morning to have a tooth pulled, so I'm stuck here til tball time this evening. Last game. YAY! (also, mimiheart? I hope Kyle's feeling better. Kids with toothaches = not fun at all)

I had this crazy crazyass dream last night/early this morning. I blame it on the fact that I kinda OD'd on NSYNC music & The Dresden Files books this weekend (for those of you who have read the books, I finished book 6). The first part of my dream I don't rightly remember, except that it was strange and kinda reminiscient of watching a fanfic movie. There were NSYNC members and it wasn't happy at all, and it was like darkfic, dark-themed, but also took place in thishuge abandoned warehouse or something, like concrete walls and blocks of windows that were impossible to see through. I don't know, it was kinda fucked up. I'm pretty sure I don't want to remember it.

The second part of my dream featured me and Andrea and JC and some random people I don't know. And vampires. I'm not sure what kind of vampires b/c they looked like Red Court but it was that time of evening where the sun has disappeared but it's not dark yet, so I don't know. If they were Reds and Reds are weakened by sunlight, then these must've been pretty powerful b/c they were still pretty strong. And Dresden was involved & he created a pretty large protection circle around an area of dirt, and we were pissing off the vampires by playing baseball within the circle where they couldn't reach us. I don't know how the balls we missed were crossing the lines of the circle without breaking it. The vampires started threatening/reasoning with us, trying to get us to step outside the circle, and people were doing it (without breaking the circle still, I'm really not sure how that worked) and being like devoured by the vampires -- like a bloody, limb-ripping feeding frenzy. More like Black Court Vampires, I guess.

Somehow we (me, Andrea, JC, Dresden) managed to escape and we were piled into an old pickup going down some backcountry road and had just passed this carload of evil-looking people when a report came across the radio that was an APB for us. Then I woke up.

I think I need to watch what I eat before I go to bed...

Also? I found a $20 bill tucked into one of the pockets of my notebook!

Now, I need to go try and email irisgirl12000 while I have access.

Oh goody, you're getting pretty far in :D I think you'll like Book 9 especially ... there's a lot more about vampires in it.

What a weird dream. I can see Red Court ripping people apart if they got mad enough, though, or there was enough "blood in the water" so to speak. Would be fun to taunt them like that, though ;)

I am obsessed, seriously. I am so in love with this verse. The twist in book 6 (which I knew when I read the back cover, but was still unprepared for emotionally when the revelation came out) was very awesome. And I kinda plotted out a SPN/Dresden crossover sometime over the weekend. (and the ending kinda leads on to a SPN/Dresden/HP crossover, but I don't know how that one's gonna work out yet. But pulling HP in is as simple as the Nevernever being what exists behind the Veil, so our favorite puppy has been lost and hiding there for some time now...)

It was a weird dream. And I'm sure the Reds could rip people apart, but it seems more like Blacks. Although, we were taunting them, though, and I'm pretty sure we'd led them on a chase or something before that, so I think it quite possibly was the Reds and they were just mighty pissed. And I think that I've gotten so used to Dresden's attitude that taunting the enemy seems like an appropriate thing to do. *g* Now if only the Vamps didn't have the mortal law enforcement agencies under their control...

Seriously, it only gets better as is goes. UST with Harry and Murphy is just, guh, and futher revelations and everything.

Did you catch that Lara's mother's last name was Salazar? I'm sure you could convolute it somehow into connecting to HP.

Oooh, good thought. Yes, Sirius went through the veil into part of one of the afterlife places in the Nevernever. Ooohhh, I just know you're going to love the others. I can't wait til you read them all so I have someone to chatter at about them.

Oh, you might be interested in www.jim-butcher.com. There's a mailing list for updates on stuff and everything. And if you look there's a couple of small, pre-series snippets lurking (Here and Here. And he has two short stories out in other books for the series.

Hehe, yeah, it is more of the way of the Blacks to just rip things, but when they're out of their skins, I think Reds can be just as violent. It's the Whites that are the "civilized" ones. Though I wonder about the Jade Court sometimes (and whether or not it will come up in the series later).

I'm actually really good about emptying my pockets before I throw something in the laundry, but I also have this bad habit of tucking money other places -- in the middle of a book, in the ashtray of my car, etc, and then I forget about it and find it weeks later. Which is always good.

Im in love with the Dresden 'verse. And I usually don't have interesting dreams, so I apparently lucked out. And it was cool he showed up, or I might've become vampire food... *g*
