So, the other day I was going to post an entry that started with something to the effect of if I'm gonna have fanfic-type dreams, please let them be something good like hot threesomes and not crack because I had this really fucking crazy dream (that was seriously a fanfic, like I saw the LJ page and the summary and the link and it was CRAZY). I may still post about the dream. But I do want to say that I can no longer complain about my cracked out dreams because last night I did get my threesome. I was observing rather than participating, but it was HOT and I'm a bit of a voyeur anyways so it's all good.
Now. I've gotta post these memes before I get even more of them piled up. *g*
Like a week ago (maybe longer)
dove95 posted a music meme (one of those things where you get a letter & post 10 songs starting with that letter), so I stole her music and asked for a letter. She said How about "R" or "S"? You pick. So I did both letters because I was bored & because I like pushing my country music on yall. *g* It's not really all country, I promise. Songs aren't in any special order.
R songs
1. Rain on a Tin Roof by Julie Roberts
I love Julie Roberts' voice. And I love this song because it's not about a perfect relationship; it's more like settling for whatever she gets and making it enough. I dunno. I'm really bad at saying WHY I like songs.
2. Raining on Sunday by Keith Urban
Even though I believe that love is meant for fairy tales and other people, I like love songs. I also like the feel and pacing of this song.
3. Real World by Matchbox 20
Matchbox 20 has always been one of my favorites.
4. (The) Reasons by The Weakerthans
I've had this song for a while but a few weeks ago it came up on random play and caught my attention. It's been stuck with me ever since. And there's a note in the margin of my notebook that says to send this song to
anasuede; I don't know what that's about. But De, apparently I meant to share this song with you. And looking at the lyrics, I think I remember why. *hearts* Thanks for being one of the bestest friends ever.
5. Red Dirt Road by Brooks & Dunn
I know, I know. More country. Sorry. Or not, because this song is awesome and I get it but I can't explain it.
6. Redneck Girl by The Bellamy Brothers
Dude. Me = Redneck Girl. And proud of it, actually. I have loved this song for years, and when I hear it I wanna get up and dance and it makes me gleeful.
7. Renegade by Styx
Supernatural, anyone? Loved this song before that, but after Nightshifters, I love it will forever be associated with the Winchesters.
8. Rocky Top
We learned to sing this song in elementary school, and even though it's old and country and cracktastic, I have nothing but happy memories associated with it.
9. Rooftops and Invitations by Dashboard Confessional
This is my favorite song off the Dusk & Summer CD. I just... I don't know, the feel of the song and the images it inspires just makes me happy.
10. I don't have a #10 for R songs. I couldn't find another one that I really really liked enough to include. So I'll give you 11 S songs instead. Fair trade?
S songs
1. Some Girls by JC Chasez
Do I really have to explain this one? It's JC! Recently, there are three artists that, everytime one of their songs comes up on my ipod or a cd or whatever, I go "OH JC!" (or whoever the person may be) because he just makes me happy. So, JC is obviously one of them, and surprisingly enough, the other two are also in the list of S songs. See if you can guess the other two. Except for Harley, b/c she's with me all the time and knows already. Also, this song reminds me of
phaballa and of Wincon last fall and happy times, so it was definitely the first song I knew I had to include when I started to do this meme.
2. Saints and Angels by Sara Evans
I love Sara Evans so so much. And this song about how we're all flawed and broken but love can save us is just very touching. *loves*
3. Santa Monica by Everclear
I loved this song in like high school, and then at Tinsley's 21st birthday party, Josh and John played this on their guitar and everyone was singing along and therefore it's a happy memory song.
4. Satisfied Man by Hal Ketchum
The first time I heard this song was shortly after Kelly Marie died, and it just got to me because the words just fit so perfectly. He said I ain't afraid of dying because I know there's something worse. Every time I hear this song, I kinda want to cry but it's not really in a bad way.
5. Scarecrow by Montgomery Gentry
Good beat. Good redneck sound. *g* And even though I'd NEVER leave the security and familiarity of my valley, I like the philosophy that someday I'm going to be more than who I am, metaphorically speaking.
6. She Ain't Right by Lee Brice
Yall, this song is about me. Seriously. He actually says crazy got nothin on her, and it so fits. *g* And it's an upbeat, feel-good song.
7. Sin So Well by Rebekah Jordan
We all love Rebekah, right?
8. So Sick as sung by Patrick Stump
Yall, I really really HATE this song! But I cannot stop listening to Patrick!!! I seriously need help.
9. Somewhere Out There (from the American Tale Soundtrack)
This song was played at my sister's funeral (which has been nearly 10 fucking years, and I really just can't even fathom that because I still occasionally have those days where I forget) and it's had an extra-special place in my heart ever since. (For the record, we played Somewhere Over the Rainbow at my daughter's funeral.)
10. Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd
Dude, how could anyone not love this song?
11. Say You Will by Nigels 11 (featuring Chris Kirkpatrick)
C'mon, it's CHRIS. Do I have to say more? Really? Okay, it's catchy and I love it and... yeah, that's about it. *g*
SECOND MEME
as posted in
irisgirl12000's LJ.
You reply to this post with a random statement about yourself, something like, what you had for breakfast, what shoes you are wearing, the last movie you watched, etc... then I will ask you 5 random questions. You will then post the answers to your questions in your LJ with the invitation for others to leave you some random info and you ask them questions. NOTE: If you want me to ask you random questions, you'll have to actually say so. *g*
My Answers to
irisgirl12000's questions
1. What's your favorite book (non-HP)? Survivor by Tabitha King. I love her novels because the characters are generally real and kinda fucked up and she actually makes you feel like you could know these people. Survivor is my favorite for many reasons, mainly that I really like Kissy and Junior, even though there are times in the book where I kinda want to hate them, and they struggle with real life and real issues and there's not a happy ending. It's not really sad or tragic, but it's not happy-ever-after, which makes sense to me because real life isn't like fairy tales. There is so much I could say about this book, but instead I'll just encourage yall to find it and read it for yourselves.
2. What CD would you take with you to a deserted island? One CD? Well, I could be a smartass and say that if there is gonna be a power supply to power a CD player, there would be one for my ipod and just take it. *g* Hmmm, one cd... I honestly don't know. Maybe I'd just reach into my mix cds and pick one at random. I don't think I could choose just one.
3. What color dominates your closet? I don't actually have a closet. We all know that I'm completely mental and had a breakdown last year after having a really bad couple of years, so I live with my mom for the indefinite future (which isn't a happy situation for anyone, I think). The boys and I share the room that used to be Harley's and there's a sort of storage area/separate room off to the back of it but I don't think it could actually be considered a closet. The walls in there are white, but I don't know anything other than that. It's kinda scary in there.
4. When your sister is old enough to read explicit slash, what fic will you rec her first? Oh, what a question. Well, first off, I can't guarantee that she's not reading anything explicit now, even though I try to keep her supplied with links that are age-safe. And that's hard sometimes, b/c I find something I like but it has bits of explicity in it so I can't send it to her. I have sent her a couple though, even though I do note on there that she has to skip the sex parts. *g* Even though it's not really worse than some of those teen novels she reads, except those are het. But I guess it would also depend on what fandom(s) she's into at that time. I was gonna say that I don't really have any porny fics on my "absolute favorite" lists, but I do. Maybe the Remus/Sirius/James fic that I think is called Holding Silence? Idk. I wouldn't want her to read badfic, but I kinda don't want her reading MY porn or porn by like you (
irisgirl12000) and de (
anasuede), even though that's the best around. You ask hard questions!!!
5. What was the last movie you saw and thought you needed to have when it came out DVD/Torrent? I saw Transformers a few weeks back at the drive in and I need it on DVD like NOW. *g*
And one more meme, that
phaballa tagged me for.
(1) List 5 celebrities you would have sex with without even asking questions.
(2) Put all of them IN ORDER of your lust for them.
(3) Say which movie/show/thing it was that hooked you.
(4) Supply photos for said people.
(5) Tag five people.

Now, because a person or two on my flist might mention it, I do wanna go ahead and say that Jared Padalecki isn't on my list. I know he's adorkable and all kinds of awesome and I love him to death, but I don't wanna fuck him. If I had the chance... well, I'd probably just kidnap him and give him to
wendy for Christmas or something. *g* Also, I know I was supposed to number this, but I didn't. I couldn't. Sorry!
Shemar Moore

On Criminal Minds, he kicks the criminals' asses and flirts with everyone else. In pics and stuff from off set, he comes across as warm and friendly, and the way Kirsten Vangsness talks about him on her blog makes me love him so so much. And it's really easy to get distracted by his body. Yum. *loves*
Chris Kirkpatrick

Chris's inclusion in this list, much like the meme itself, is completely the fault of
phaballa. I can't say what exactly it was that made me just fall completely in love with Chris, but it happened sometime over that weekend in Reno. (Dude, I have no pics of Chris! WTF? I had to go steal one off myspace!)
Josh Holloway

Sexy southern conartist on LOST, for the uninformed. But oh he's so hot and I love his accent and I really wanna do dirty thingsto with him.
Jensen Ackles

Back when I first discovered SPN, I sent a pic of Jensen to someone (de, I think) asking for him for my birthday. Obviously I didn't get him, or we wouldn't be here, but seriously. So hot. And I got hooked on him because of Supernatural, even though it took me a while.
