why_me_why_notSo, Criminal Minds.
OMG doesn't even begin to cover it. I haven't seen any spoilers or speculation or anything related to season four prior to this, other than the commercial on CBS and a blurb somewhere about an interview with MGG that talked about some of the developments with Reid's character in S4. But after the commercials, I had talked to a few people and we decided that the blond Hotch was with was the FBI chick with the British accent (I kept calling her 'the one that looks like Haley' b/c I couldn't remember her name) and apparently we were right! And her name is (was) Kate.
I was kinda confuzzled at first, but I think that was the point since Hotch was rather confused. When Kate said the First Responders weren't coming b/c the FBI told them not to, I was like "OH SHIT" and about to cry, omg. The poor team, seriously, not being able to reach each other? Fucking SCARY.
That boy that just appeared and was acting all helpful and shit? I didn't trust him from the get go; it just didn't feel right.
I LOVE MORGAN! Did yall know that? You probably did, lol. But the way he went after Hotch anyway ("that's my boss in there!") even though he wasn't supposed to, was awesome. And then he, of course, goes after the bomber after Garcia calls, without even thinking about it,b/c he's a protector and the team is his family and that's what he does.
Poor Garcia, dude, omg. Her having to watch and not be able to do anything, I don't know how she does it.
I knew the EMT wasn't legit and I totally called that there was a bomb in the ambulance. I thought when they got the hospital that it was just on lockdown b/c of the bombing; I didn't realize until later that it was Secret Service. Did we ever find out who exactly was at the hospital? I was thinking that they were just gonna blow up the ambulance after they got to the hospital, not wait for things to settle down, so I was kinda thrown after that. Also, Hotch is a stubborn, stubborn man.
Morgan, though... Morgan. *sigh* when he took that ambulance and drove it out of the hospital, I was ready to fucking CRY, espeically after he stopped talking and the ambulance blew. I guess that's what we were supposed to think though, that he was gone, but I was like "hey, he jumped out, right, he's okay, right?" I was so so so happy to see him! And what he said to Garcia was so so so sweet! and I love her! "well, I can't right now because I'm mad at you." *draws hearts* Okay, so I was maybe really crying at that.
During the ending, with Hotch and Morgan, my stepdad came downstairs and I missed part of what was said. They offered Morgan Kate's job and Morgan doesn't want it, right? Dude, I don't want Morgan to have to leave the show, please don't take that job! Also, it wouldn't surprise me if Hotch took some time off, either due to the residual effects of his head injuries or because he realizes he needs to spend more time with his son.
SO! That's my take on tonight's episode!
How about 200 words of a post-Mayhem drabble?
“Talk to me, baby girl.”
Morgan listens but there’s only silence interspersed with the clacking of a keyboard from the other end of the line.
“So it’s still like that, is it? I love you, Garcia, and I’m still here, and I’ll stay on this line until you either decide to talk or hang up, it’s your call.”
More silence, what sounds almost like a small laugh, and then the call is ended.
“So, let me get this straight -- she’s still not talking to you because she’s mad at you, but she’s called four times since we got home?”
Morgan nudges Reid’s foot with his own before leaning over him to set his cell on the nightstand. “Yeah.” The two of them are stretched out on Morgan’s bed, the murmur of late-night television filling the room as they try to unwind after the adrenaline of the last few weeks. “She wants to make sure I realize she’s upset, but she still has to check up on me.”
“Well, she hasn’t called me at all.” Reid sounds more confused than hurt by this.
“You think she doesn’t know you’re here with me? Think again, genius boy; that girl knows everything.”
tomorrow night is WINCHESTERS!! YAYES!!!
