why_me_why_notI am so glad my kids don't ride the bus to school.
This is the picture my cousin Alex texted (to his mom and she sent it to me) yesterday morning:
Crazy, huh? Even crazier, to me, is that it was one of the kids on the bus who called 911. I'm pretty sure she's from one of the volunteer families, but still. I would think that since the bus driver wasn't injured, should she be the one to call since she's the actual adult? Anyway. 13 kids were taken to the hospital, no serious immediate injuries, but there were several head injuries and we all know how that shit can ruin your life after the fact. Alex said he nearly shit himself yesterday, but I guess now the kids will have a story to tell? Luckily there were no fatalities, and it's also lucky it was the jr high and high school kids and not the elementary kids. The road that the accident was on is super narrow and curvy and I admit to flying down it in my car (there is no posted speed limit on that road) but still. Scary!
