The Science Center and IMAX are nearby -- closer to the ball park than the aquarium actually. And there's a just-opened Ripley's Believe It or Not in the Light Street pavilion. In the spring and summer, you can take a water taxi to Fort McHenry and tour the old fort. There's Port Discovery near the aquarium, but I'm not sure what's there. There's also a pop culture museum right next door to the ball park.
Growing up, I think we went some amateur team stuff -- Tippy played -- but not to a MLB game until high school, and no minor league games until much later. My excuse: I went to school blocks from the O's, and we could walk down and watch batting practice. Why go elsewhere?
