I hate packing too. I don't mind the moving itself; gimme the heavy lifting over the packing any day. And unpacking? Forget about it. I've been in my house now for just over 2 years and there are still boxes in several closets that haven't been unpacked.
We had boxes untouched from the last move, six years ago. It's our plan to not do that this time around.
And Max is very excited about the move (most of the time, at least). It made the whole house-hunting process a lot easier; he wanted us to find a place as much as we did.
