Jun. 13th, 2009 10:43 pmUgh, I'm SO TIRED! I blame it on the fact that I was outside in the sun ALL DAY. But I'm only physically tired; I think I'll be okay as long as I don't have to move from where I'm laying on the floor underneath the fan. Which is good b/c I have two bbb fics open that I'd really like to read, lol. (I have other ones marked that I'm interested in reading, but these are
megyal and
sinsense, so I really can't pass them up. Now if I could figure out which one to read first...)(ETA: I had
playfullips in this list too, but decided to read hers first, so I took it off. BUT I DID READ HER LOVELY BRENDON/SPENCER FIRST!)
Yesterday was Free Friday downtown, so Kristina and I took the kids to Center in the Square. The science museum hasn't changed in thirty years, seriously. The Chesapeake Bay exhibit is still my favorite -- I love the horseshoe crabs. :) The history museum has added something about moonshine/moonshiners and it takes up like half the floor. It's kinda awesomely amusing, even though I had to censor myself when I was talking to Davey and Haley about it, b/c I kept wanting to add things about our family's personal history in moonshining, and considering I still know a few people in the moonshine business, I don't know if that'd been a good thing to share publically.
Both boys had soccer games last night and Davey had one this morning, and now we are DONE for the season, except for banquets. Football season is around the corner, though, so Ronnie's gonna play. I think practices start in August, so I get a little break. Davey wants to play rec basketball, which starts in like November. Davey also wants to take a gymnastics class, so I need to remember to check into that on Monday.
There's a coach for the team that Davey was playing last night & this morning (the South Salem Jedis -- Davey's team is the North Salem Hokies) and who also has a son that was on the team that Ronnie played last night (my boys are on separate teams b/c of their ages). Obviously, with only four teams in each age group, I've seen him around. I call him the Cute Soccer Coach; Mom calls him The One Who Looks Too Young. :P Anyway, I have run into him a total of five times in the last two days in places other than the soccer field. It's kinda funny, though I'd be more amused if I didn't feel like I was stalking him even though I'm totally not.
Went to two birthday parties for Holdon today. I love him to pieces; he is so cute! He's a whopping FIVE YEARS OLD today, lol. The second party was at Pam and Jay's house, and there was the kiddie pool and the slip-n-slide and water guns. We had such a blast. The boys are still over there now; Holdon wanted them to stay the night, and James promised to get up and make them chocolate chip pancakes and bacon for breakfast. (Joseph said he'd make me biscuits and gravy if I came over for breakfast; I'm considering it *g*) And Uncle Jay is off work tomorrow, so they're gonna take a field trip next door to see the baby Alpacas and muddy up a different part of the yard with the slip-n-slide. Good times, although I'm still kinda upset that we didn't get to go camping.
Anyway. I'm going to go read fic. <3
