Oct. 21st, 2013 05:49 pmI feel sooooo crappy. Ughhhhh. Combination of killer migraine and the plague. But instead of being a giant ball of complainypants, I'll tell you fun things!
Friday, me and the boys and Haley went to the VT hockey game, which was great. It was a good game and they won and the kids had fun.
Saturday, we went to Farm Day at West End Farm, which is right behind The Burrow, so we actually go there a lot anyway. But the kids always enjoy it! Did you know alpacas give hugs? They are the best! Also, there was a donkey that was following me around wanting to be loved on. He was like a giant dog. Zachary kept calling him a dolphin. And there was a big piggie named Bacon. Illy and Neville and Zachary all loved the chickens the best, because they are strange little kids. Illy also kept going up to all the old pawpaw-like men and asking for hugs. There was a group there from the SPCA with some of their adoptable animals, and Z kept trying to let the kittens out of their cage. Z also decided he was all about Haley on Saturday, and I don't know why because it was like the second or third time they've actually been around each other, but every time she would get out of his sight, he'd be like "where is my Haley????" and have to go chase her down, and when friend!Amy came to pick Z up, he didn't want to go with her, he wouldn't let go of Haley's hand. Haley was like "but we barely know each other!" Friend!Amy said Z is gonna be like his daddy and be into older women (she is 8 years older than Cliff). Another cute thing that happened is that when RT & Kristina got there, Larkin was sleeping in the stroller, and then they went on the hay ride and Neville didn't see them go, so he came back to the stroller and was like "where is the baby?" and he lifted up the blankets and stuff and said "Oh no, the baby is gone! help me find her!" and was like crawling around looking under the benches and looking everywhere for Larkin.
Haley had two soccer games on Saturday, one before farm day and one after. And then we all went to dinner.
Then me and RT took Haley, Ronnie, and Davey to the Haunted Harvest at one of our favorite pumpkin patches. This is the first year we've done any haunted thing with them. So all the way through the line (seriously, so much line time - you have to stand in line to get in, to stand in another line for the hayride, to stand in another line to go through the Harvest), RT and I are telling them things to mess with their heads to make them even more scared or whatever. And at one point, you could hear the chainsaw fire up from out in the fields, and RT was like, "Oh, I guess that guy from Texas is out there," and Haley goes, "Oh, you mean Dustin?" (because our friend Stephanie is dating a guy from Texas named Dustin) And then we were debating which configuration would be best to go through the maze - we said we wanted a kid in front and a kid in back so that if something grabbed one of us, the kids would be first, but it ended up being RT, Davey, Haley, Ronnie, me. Haley thought she was safe because she was in the middle. But Haley is also taller than me and looks like an adult, and the scarers in the maze apparently heard us talking to her because they started calling her name, and one of the things that popped out had a clown mask on and said her name and she freaked out and literally ran over top of Davey to get to her dad, and I'm laughing too hard to help Davey off the ground at first. But then she was freaking out because "Daddy, they know my name!" and I shouldn't laugh at her but it was kinda funny. And Ronnie was right up against RT's back with his eyes closed and his hands over his ears. Davey was playing it up and taking advantage of the situation to almost say cuss words, and at one point, there was a girl that was like the girl from The Ring, and she crawled out from behind a well, and Davey was like, "What are you doing Friday? Wanna go for pizza?" Because my kid is ridiculous. But then we got to the very end of the maze, and we all thought it was over because we could see the wagon and stuff, and a guy jumps out with a chainsaw, and Davey is just GONE. Like, I didn't even see where he went. According to RT, he jumped on the wagon, completely cleared the stairs, didn't even stop, just jumped on the wagon and was up by the front of the hayride. I almost fell on the ground laughing so hard. But they all said that it was worth it, and the boys said they'd go again. Haley said never again, lol.
The boys and Haley all play their last soccer game of the season tomorrow night. I'm kinda glad it's over but I like them being active. We do have a Y membership now, though, so they have that.
I am behind on everything because I had a bad migraine for several days last week, and then spent all day yesterday and today in bed. Actually, I'm going back to bed here shortly, after dinner and homework. Blah!
