Picking Up the Pieces - HP - Draco & Harry are thrown together after both face situations that turn their lives upside down. Will they become friends themselves? Written btwn OotP & HBP. [PG] Multichaptered, unsure of total wordcount.

I love this because it was my first fanfic. I know it's not the best piece of writing, but it was a huge step for me just to write and post it, and I met some of the most awesome people through it Without it, I would never had gotten involved with The Tauri Archives and the OWLie family there. I also would never have gotten close to ltlredhairdgirl, who is one of my bestest friends, or lilian_cho, or several other of my favorite flisters. I have a lot of happy memories associated with writing and sharing PutP, and I absolutely adore Karissa.

24 Hours - HP - Written in response to the 24-hour challenge. What happened during the 24 hours between the attack on the Potters and Harry being delivered to the Dursleys? [PG] 4300 words

One of the things I love about HP is that there are so many blanks in the story that we can fill in. I loved writing this, and going over all the possibilities of "what if?"

Blue on Black - QaF - Gus gets lost... Post-series, features mostly Justin and Gus. [PG] 3000 words

I think the reason I love this is because it came from out of the blue. We were having a comment party and misread_ and I were going back and forth writing lines of fic. We didn't have a fandom in mind, or even a character. We were just using pronouns and general situations. And this is where it ended up.

Tequila & Teethmarks - SPN - Dean just laughed, like this was all some sort of game. Maybe it was. If so, Sam didn't understand the rules, but he was pretty sure he was losing. Wincest, nakedness, boy!kissing, biting [ADULT] 3500 words

The first Wincest I ever wrote. This was after I said I wouldn't write SPN or wincest, and when I could still claim I didn't write smut. But I had had the title in my head for a while, and it was begging for a story, and I think this one turned out rather well.

Reciprocity - Criminal Minds - One night changes the direction of Reid and Morgan's friendship.

This was written for slashfest a few rounds back. It was my first venture into Criminal Minds as a fandom, and I had actually not read any fic up to that point, so it was very exciting to be writing it. I really can't explain it; it's like... when I write in HP or SPN, there are so many other fantastic writers out there and I'm always so intimidated b/c I've read their stuff and I know that there is fic that is so much better than what I can do, so not having anything to compare it to made it... not really easier to write, but maybe less inhibited? I have special love for this fic, even if I'm not doing a very good job explaining why.

Kisses in the Impala - SPN - wendy actually gave me a prompt that wasn't for porn! I was so surprised that I just had to try and write it. Her prompt: -Five kisses in the Impala (from Dean's PoV)...kiss from mom, kiss from dad, kiss from girlfriend, kiss from Sam, kiss from Sam when they finally Do It. [PG] 1500 words

I always love writing for wendy. She always gives the best prompts and also is the most enthusiastic, enabling cheerleader EVER. And this one... I dunno, it was my first try at wee!winchesters, which I think everyone knows I love to write, and it was interesting trying to get the voice right as Dean grew/changed/whatever.

Love your 24 - and, oh, Garden of Sun and Tears.

I've always enjoyed the J2 slash, but the idea of Wincest makes me a little uncomfy. Is there any really good SPN gen-fic out there? I've just started watching it out here, and it's a fab series :)

There is a lot of SPN gen-fic. If you check with the crack_impala rec comm, they do gen recs once a week. My favorite gen authors are pixel_0 (who has an awesome multi-chaptered fic called Crescendo of the Moon which is one of the greatest things I've ever read) and iamstealthyone. There are more, but those are the two at the top of my head. I have a few gen fics and wee!chesters that I've written, and a Sam/Jess that I'm working on. There are also a lot of het fics in SPN, if that interests you. Actually, my friend jainadurron runs a SPN het archive that's linked at the top of my LJ.
