Summary: Alicia and Mikey need a baby shower.

And a drabble:

For reallythateasy. Ryan/Ray: hero worship, octopus, banana. 200 words.

“Dude, you know your lead singer is like a fucking octopus?”

Ryan managed not to jump or lose his grip on his guitar, but it was a close thing.

Actually, he usually considered Brendon to be a spider monkey since he was more warm and furry than slimy, but he was pretty slippery and sometimes seemed to have double the appropriate number of limbs, so yeah, octopus was probably an apt description.

Ryan couldn’t say any of this, though, because the possibly rhetorical question had come from Ray Toro, who was standing in the door watching him.

When Ryan didn’t say anything, he shifted uncertainly in the doorway. “I can go, if I’m interrupting…”

“No!” Ryan said quickly, shaking his head. “No, sorry, just… you surprised me.”

Ray smiled and stepped into the room, gesturing to the guitar – one of Brendon’s – sitting in the chair next to Ryan. “Can I? We were all supposed to go grab lunch, but Frank and Brendon are arguing about bananas or something. They might be a while.”

Ryan nodded. “Yeah, yeah, sure!” He hoped his fingers would remember how to play, because his mind surely wasn’t going to be much help. Ray Fucking Toro.

I still owe out four drabbles/ficlets right now, but feel free to keep me occupied at work, okay? plus, this weekend we're going camping so I won't have internet, just my notebook. So, if you'd like, give me a character or a pairing and three prompt words. Feel free to pick any fandom that you know I write in.

Speaking of prompts, I left one for chaeldub and got this little piece of awesomeness in return: Tattoo.

I don't remember if I ever recced this or not, but chaeldub wrote a fic for the hd_worldcup called Better The Devil You Know, which I really really enjoyed and suggest to all you HP and H/D fans.

yesterday when we were waiting to get autographs from tai, there were four girls standing with us and one of them was like "we're the official cluster of fangirls, b/c we have official AP cut passes" and I was going to maybe ask if they were LJ fangirls but then one of them was like "Butcher is wearing too many clothes" and he heard her so we just all cracked up laughing instead. Then we saw Jack-the-camera-guy again, so. Oh well. *g*

I honestly had no idea what you were going to do with that prompt. I think I went with the weirdest pairing and words I could come up with. I really like the idea of Ryan and Ray though. Hmm, I might need to explore this idea more.

Your drabble, however, is adorable. I love Ryan's reaction to Ray, it's amazingly perfect. And Brendon is an octopus and a spider monkey and prolly a million different other clingy, handsy animals. Thanks!!
