Taking a five minute break from studying, lol. I have a test tonight on the heart & circulatory system. Good times. I'm also looking ahead to what to do after tomorrow when my bigbang rough draft is done. (b/c when I send it to the bigbang mods and to my betas, I plan on not thinking about it for at least a week, lol) So, there was this meme thingy going around my flist where you (dear members of my flist) first pick a letter and give me a word for that letter, then pick a fandom (or crossover) and a character or pairing. Example: Z is for Zombies, Draco/Luna (Harry Potter). In turn you'll receive a drabble/ficlet of some kind.

While I won't say no to bandom requests, feel free to pick different fandoms. HP (no nextgen), SPN/J2 (though I'm not up to date on S4), Criminal Minds, Jericho, Dresden, QaF, anything else you know I can write. Note, I only really write popslash for phaballa, and reallythateasy will be ignored if she asks me for more of something I'm already writing. (I promise, I haven't forgotten your Tom/Gabe or the Travis/Drew thing!)

So, claim a letter, ask for something. That'll give me something different to occupy my time over the upcoming week, in between job applications and cleaning out my storage building and writing birthday fic for phaballa. (I also owe yana_ambf birthday fic too, which is actually in my notebook, so I haven't forgotten you either, sweetie, I'm just slow at typing things up once they get written.) (also, a few of the letters have multiple claims b/c people commented for them at the same time.)

Well, Murphy used Fidellachus (sp?) once, remember, when she and Thomas were picking up Harry from Demonreach (before it became Demonreach) at the end of the last book. Harry told her it was a job offer. She turned it down, but it was rather unclear to me as to whether Harry received the sword back or it's in Murphy's care now.

I still think that eventually Murphy will take it up--I think she'll lose her job one of these days and take it up. And I think either Harry or Molly will take up Amoracchius eventually--either Harry is the Arthur-character in the Arthurian loop/lore that Butcher has going on, or he's the Merlin in it and he's holding it for his protege...

Thomas would be a good choice, or would have used to be before he effectively got mind-raped by the skinwalker. I think he'll get better, if Harry really keeps after him.

I think Murphy would be a good choice. I think she's pretty damn awesome.

Molly would be an interesting choice. I think that she does have a lot of her father in her, so that'd be a plus, but she's still too impulsive. Even when she's doing what she thinks is right, she's not thinking of the consequences, y'know?

THOMAS! I am so upset about his attitude. I hope he'll get better, but I can imagine all sorts of bad scenarios there. Plus, I'm worried about how that affects Justine. She's been feeding information to Harry via Thomas, right? So if he's decided he wants to be an evil bloodsucking monster, is he still going to cover for her? I mean, obviously he still loves her, and that counts for A LOT, but I worry.

I think it would be interesting, yes. She's growing... and I think she learned a bit in this book. Though I'm still struggling to learn the difference between what Molly did with Luccio (which I saw as peeking, not meddling) and what the healers subsequently did. My bro and I agree, Molly should go into healing... her gifts would be of more use there, and heaven knows Harry needs a healer on hand, LOL.

I knooooow. *pouts* I think he'll come around... Especially if Justine works on him too. He's just torn. Zach suggested he might end up being more of a spy than even Justine. It is food for thought...

Murph is totally someone to look up to.

Molly would be excellent at healing; she's got a great sense of compassion (*ahem*Charity) and she already has skill in patching people up (between her brothers & sisters and Harry). I know that what she did with Luccio was meant with the best of intentions, but I also know that the Council wouldn't see it that way. The Council isn't exactly good at recognizing fields of grey.

After what Thomas has been through, he's understandably confused right now, but he has to come around. Has to! I'd love to know what he told Justine/what she thinks of the situation.
