Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll write a post or comment about it. Two Parter: How do you think most American's perceive "the rest of the world" and how do you think they perceive you? Why?

Thoughts on religion and do you think it plays any part in the above question?

Ohh, thinky thoughts!

I think that it's kinda hard to classify most American's perceptions as being the same/similar, just because we are so vastly different. I mean, I do believe that in general Americans are very self-centered, we focus on America and don't tend to notice what's going outside of our own country. We are a very me-oriented, entitlest society as a whole. I don't think religion has a lot to do with that. I do think that some Americans see the rest of the world as inferior rather than just different. Personally, I know that a lot of people in this area (the valley where I live) don't have much opinion of people or events outside of us. This is our lives; anything that doesn't directly influence us isn't our concern.

I'm quite obviously not good at thinky thoughts, sorry. Apparently there's a reason I don't blog about these things.
