It has been yucky and rainy outside ALL WEEKEND. My plans were to hang out in the house in my pjs all weekend and be lazy. Ha.

We had planned on my brother's kids coming over to stay last night, which wasn't a big deal. But before that, I had to go out to the store to pick up a few things, and we decided to go to Walmart because we needed formula and the price difference is worth the extra driving difference and the hassle. Somehow that trip ended up also including a stop by my brother's, GameStop, and running my by storage. Then somehow I got talked into playing DD last night, but only having to drive RT, Kris, and Tim to the bar and then come back to pick them up. No actual socializing, but still.

The kids... well, for the most part, the kids weren't a problem. My nephew is a little shit and was driving me crazy. He started a fist fight with Davey and then when they both got put in time out he wanted to call his daddy "because Davey kicked me in the face!" (The fight was over the Xbox, btw. Davey, Ronnie, and Liam wanted to play Nuke Town and Joe didn't. He didn't like being outvoted.) Then he was bossing everyone around (which is kinda funny because he's the youngest of the bunch) and got huffy with me when I told him he wasn't allowed to tell the other kids what to do. But whatever, the rest of the night wasn't too bad. They played Headbandz (we had to cover up the china cabinet with a sheet so nobody could use the reflection to cheat) and watched movies. Three of the boys were still up at 1:30 when I left to go pick up the drinkers.

This morning, I made pancakes and bacon for breakfast, and then I banned all the electronic devices for the day. No DS, no iPod, no TV, no computer. Joe threw an epic fit and Liam was kinda confused at first, but it didn't turn out too badly. We did leave the desktop on so we could have iTunes up, and we ended up with some crazy mix of music that was mostly Cobra Starship, Christian Kane, and Brad Paisley. Idk. But the kids (minus Joseph) played Apples to Apples and worked puzzles and then set up a huge "battle" in the empty downstairs room (the one that we're working on to make it my bedroom) that was apparently Hot Wheels vs Dinosaurs. At one point, they were all sneaking around the house and Ronnie and Haley are "army men" who had to sneak into the enemy camp (the boys' bedroom) to steal/rescue (depending on who you ask) the baby dinosaurs and return them to their mothers. Kids are crazy.

Also, it's been raining since Friday night, so it's super dreary. I put some beans and tomatoes in the crockpot last night, and Davey and Haley sliced some onions and peppers this morning that we fried up with some burger to add to it, so we have this awesome pot of chili that is so yummy and warm-you-from-the-inside good. Almost makes up for the fact that I had to turn down two last-minute invites to dinner this weekend - the lake crew (all the older people from the Marina where we hang out in the summer time with my Daddy) wanted us to go to Logans with them last night, and my friend Shannon (who, btw, is doing the friends-with-benefits thing WRONG, which I didn't even think was possible, and I feel kinda bad for how much I laughed at her when she was telling me her story, but really) is celebrating her bday (which is tomorrow) with everyone at the Homeplace (best food EVER) tonight. But the chili is good. :)

I have another post I need to make, and a to do list that is forever long, but I am gonna take a 30 minute cat nap while the boys are over at Liam's. I hope everyone else had a great weekend! <3
