1. Good King Wenceslas! I'm not sure why, but I've always loved the melody, it's got a nice message, and there's a beautiful version on the CD of Christmas songs by the Robert Shaw choir that my dad raised me on. :)

2. Hmmmm... a lot of the music I listened to this year was from past years. I might have to say Approximate Sunlight by Bright Eyes.
