Davey gave me his cold, which decided it had to run right to my chest. Blech. Sucks. Work sucked too; our entire system crashed just before 6. We still had eight fricking orders to pick that had to be shipped out tonight (plus mor on the line). IT goes home at 4:30 (which makes no sense) and, long story short, when the system finally came back up it was 7:15. UPS and DHL and FedEx Air had all already come and gone. So, Toby (supervisor's supervisor) made an arrangement that he'd bring the mustships to the respective shippers. And then we all had to bust tail to get the damn things picked and shipped, with him standing there watching the whole time, which is nerve-wracking.

Got upsetting news today. A friend of mine's one-month-old died last night. I'm not sure what happened. What bothers me (which is probably petty in the scheme of things) is that no one wanted to come right out and tell me; they were all talking about it around me in whispers. It's one thing for my brothers or family or whatever to treat me like I'm fragile (even though I'm not) b/c I know they mean well, but from other people it feels wrong to me. I dunno, I know I'm not explaining it well, but I don't like it.

I'm tired, I can't breathe, and I have inbox full of comments that aren't getting answered right now. Oh, and I still can't find the phone. I mean, you'd think there's only so many places it could be...

I'm gonna go watch a movie with the heathens. Might be on later. Why doesn't someone cheer me up with pics or fic recs (preferably crack, b/c that's what I'm in the mood for) or telling me what is happening GOOD in your life?

I know more than a person wants or needs to know about stalking and kidnapping. Dangerously more. But don't tell anybody, and I'll drive AND bring the cooler with the dough. Sounds like a plan, sweetie! When do we go?

You are strong, luv, stronger than most people I know. It doesn't keep us all from wanting to protect your heart, and our hearts in the process. I'm sorry to hear your friend's bad news, and I know somehow someway you will be a very valuable asset to her in the time that is coming. Experience is a hard taskmaster, but strong smart people learn well. I believe in you. ***hugs***

Thank you for that. I don't know what else to say. It means something when certain people want to protect me, but the ones that were not telling me aren't even really friends of mine, they're coworkers, and they just think I'm gonna freak out over it. Which, okay, I got a bit freaky when Brian died back in October, but that was different on several levels. Everyone knows about Kelly Marie, b/c I don't hide her, but this is an example of why I wonder if it's the right thing to do b/c knowing makes other people act weird, know what I mean?
