Melody ([livejournal.com profile] melmo_lovesyou) just smushed together "amused" and "entertained" and came out with "amentained". Idek. My teenagers are all dorkfaces. :)

I'm so ready for Illy to get here, lol. BABY!!! Harley was talking about prom dress shopping today. My sister. I repeat, my teenagers are all dorkfaces.

Remember me mentioning that I might switch shifts to one of those that includes a Sunday? My main reasons are so that our dept has some type of floor support on Sundays and so the boys can go to Pam & Jay's, which means that James won't have to let Holdon go with Jo b/c she won't take him away from his cousins. (did I tell you that shit, about her insisting that when Holdon is with her, his name is Alex, and how Pam is worried that Jo is gonna do something crazycakes like kidnap him? Grrrr.) Well, Leslie was going to work it out so that I switched schedules with one of the new hires, who was upset about having to work Sundays b/c his mom has cancer and he has to stay with her on the weekends b/c his brother stays with her during the week. BUT. His stats aren't that great, he missed half the day yesterday, and he's been warned multiple times about his cell phone use potentially getting him in trouble. This morning, I told him I wasn't going to switch with him just so he can get himself fired, and then I caught him with his cell phone out no less than five times. I mean, seriously? NO. I still don't mind changing my schedule, but I'm not switching with him.

I thought yesterday was Thursday, ALL DAY, and I even woke up at one point in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep, so I was thinking "Oh, I can totally go make a HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVIE post b/c it's officially her birthday." But it totally wasn't. *fail* Tomorrow is gonna be ridiculous. I'M SO READY FOR THE WEEKEND!

This morning, I was thinking about how much I hate txt msgs from certain people. Like, I love Matt, and I don't mind txtng with him at random times, but I always want to correct his spelling/punctuation/grammar. DRIVES ME CRAZY! Or crazier, whatever.

There was something else I was gonna tell yall, but I don't remember. I have barbecued pork chops in the oven, and I need to go figure out what I'm going to have with it. Apparently there is no Survivor tonight because of basketball? So mom got the original JAWS movie for us to watch, since the boys have never seen it but we watch all sorts of ridiculous SyFy shark movie. So I'll be back in a bit. :)

I love Heather. :P I just pretty much made an LJ post in a comment on her lj, so I'm just gonna copy and paste it here. With some other stuffs.

Today we went to The Homeplace for Harley's birthday dinner, like I mentioned in my earlier post.

So, we had a bit of an adventure tonight.

Quick note: I know most people don't visit graves, for whatever reason. I also don't talk about my personal religious beliefs on here, mainly because I believe faith is a deeply personal thing, and I know what I believe and that's enough for me. But I do visit my daughter's grave on a regular basis. It's not that it makes me feel close to her there, because I know she's always with me. I think at first it was just somewhere to go where I could be left alone. But it's also always been a way to keep the boys connected with their sister. They love to pick out flowers/balloons/toys/whatever to take to her. (Also, she's part of their everyday lives too. Quite often when strange things happen, they blame their sister. They like to write their name and draw hearts on balloons and let them go to the sky. Kelly Marie regularly steals balloons if we don't give them to her, lol.)

Anyway, Kelly Marie's 10th birthday is next Friday, and I won't be able to make it to Blacksburg then, so we went up there this evening. Harley was driving because I'm an awesome sister, and maybe a little because I like to freak my mom out (my mom still covers her eyes when I merge onto the interstate and I've been driving since I was 12, she's so much worse with Harley driving). We get to Bburg and park the car, and I left my phone on the seat because I had been texting on the drive up and I didn't need my phone. Harley left the keys on the driver's seat of the van (I tend to leave them in the ignition most of the time. The bad habits you pick up living in a small town.) and she and I got about ten feet from the van and heard the 'click' of the automatic locks. We both stopped, looked at each other, and looked back at the van. We had all the windows up because we'd bought balloons so the A/C was a better option coming up the road.

So, my van is locked, with my keys and my phone inside it, in a cemetery. At dusk.

My brother came to rescue us, since he has the spare key to my car (yall know that story right? keys locked in my car with the car running at 3am in the firelane at walmart in the rain?), but he took like two hours to get there. Bburg is only half an hour away from me, but he had to finish up cheer practice and go get the key and get my mom's car b/c his didn't have enough gas and then there was road work on the interstate. Blah.

It's not like we were in the middle of nowhere -- the cemetery is blocks away from downtown Blacksburg and Virginia Tech -- but it was still creepy, especially with the almost-full moon and the way it was getting dark and chilly. And we were walking around looking at the other stones (my kids love to go walking "in the dead people's place") and there was one that just said "3 unknowns, Rt 114, 1986" and it seriously gave both me and Harley chills. Also, the kids and I went to the opposite end of the cemetery to find Michael Whitaker's grave, which led to me talking about him and Judd, and then about Davey (my ex-hubby's best friend who was murdered the summer I was pregnant with Kelly Marie -- he's the one Davey is name after, obviously).

Anyway, it was pretty creepy, lol. The boys said Kelly Marie just wanted her Uncle RT to come see her. Idk. But it was an adventure. Especially with the boys being them and talking about zombies and vampires and things.

Also, Johnathan is a cheater. He cheated at bowling this afternoon and still lost. (okay, so we were using bumper guards, so we were both cheating, kinda. but he was using the kiddie ramp!) Then we were all taking turns playing air hockey and he was trying to distract me so Harley would win, and he had me laughing because he was all "I'm gonna distract you so your sister can win, lalala, how can I distract you?" and then he's like "OH! I know how to distract you! BertQuinnJephaDan!" Loser. Well, in this case the loser was ME b/c Harley got the game-winning point after that b/c I was laughing too hard to even see the puck, but whatever.

OH AND GUESS WHAT???? I got the other UHG job! So starting Tuesday (Monday is a holiday, and also Harley's 16th bday!) I'm back to working 8:30 to 5. YAYES!!!

P.S. COME PLAY WITH ME!

I don't even remember exactly what I was dreaming but it was really fucking cracked out. I think maybe someone is putting drugs in my meds again, wtf?

Also, [livejournal.com profile] fangs_up1 scared the fuck out of me this morning. Idk why, but when I hear a man's voice, I either think it's my ex and/or his friends or I think it's the cops, both of which are bad news situations, especially when I'm not fully awake. Yeah, I know it's not rational. But I heard Johnathan this morning as I was still mostly asleep and already kinda freaked by my dreams, and it was like I was instantly awake and panicking. B/c I'm a freak, apparently, and the sound of a man at the door gives me a panic attack. *fail* I don't know when Johnathan's voice changed, though, lol.

I was going to give him a hard time about it, but it wasn't worth getting out of bed for, haha.

Off work today! I'm going back to sleep for a couple hours, gotta take the boys to meet their teachers later this afternoon. :)

My day: work sucks. Ran out at lunch time, my car break down on the way back to work. Had to walk about a mile back. Was obviously late. A little later get a txt that my Saturday babysitter can't keep the kids tomorrow. I was at work for 8.75 hrs. My actual time worked? Just under 4 hrs. My last hour and a half I took three calls. But I did get some rambling done in my notebook (a lot of something that would have been an lj post if I had been on the internet, but reading back over it I'm too embarassed to type it up & post it, and a few bits of self-indulgent fictions) and I am almost finished with Shadow Magic. I have like one chapter left. And I love Caius. Anyway, then Mom picked me up & we got pulled over and ticketed for something stupid. THEN. Get home & I HAVE NO INTERNET! Wtf, world. W. T. F.

I did get to see Psych when I got home, which did improve my mood b/c Shawn & Gus are highly amusing. Love it love it love it.

I also love any and all tweets about Brendon Urie. Surprised? Ohh! And all the recaps from the Texas Crew.

The only good thing about working today was that I earned enough for half my plane ticket for Texas. Lol.

My sister is leaving early early tomorrow morning to go to the beach with Johnathan for a week. I'm gonna miss them! Also, Melody? Your bookbag is still in my van, lol. Want it back? It's only been there since the day before school let out in the spring.

Oh, and I may be writing a high school AU involving Steven Smith as a teacher. And The Used. Despite Lesa & Heather's best attempts to stop me when I asked them to, lol.

Last thing: PWTs next month IN MY CITY! Not only that, but scheduled to play at Roanoke College, which is just BLOCKS from me. Yayes!

Email or txt me if you want me! *mwah*
